Coupon sites are everywhere online, but sites like Chippmunk.com are not as common.  The defining difference is that Chippmunk lets you pick what you’d like to spend with a sliding ruler at the beginning of your shopping trip.  Then you can choose the category or store and browse.  Easy breezy, in a few clicks the item you would like and but for quite a bit less then expected.  This ranges from a percent off, as much as 20% off, to free shipping coupons, which are always a nice icing on the cake.

As opposed to other coupon sites, Chippmunk is a good starting point for savings and allows for budgeting of your purchases at the very beginning instead of allowing for, “one more thing” added to the cart at the end in order to qualify for a coupon.  You know what you want to spend and it helps to “cap” you.  When you put in an amount of $50 on clothing, coupons are shown which fit that $50 spending limit, so once that limit is hit it is easier to stop.  Instead of trying to fit your purchases to a a coupon, your coupon it tailored to fit your purchase.
