Boiron, makers of great homeopathic medicines, recently sent me Children’s Coldcam to try out. I didn’t review it right away, because I actually wanted to use it and see how it worked, LOL.
The Coldcam comes in a little tube about the size of a chapstick- in fact, it is in the bag next to a Burt’s Bees chapstick, and I often mistakenly grab it when I am looking for the chap stick, LOL.
When you take the top off, you turn it to take out tiny little balls or pellets of medicine. They taste like sugar-water to me. Here is what Boiron has to say about Childrens Coldcam

Children 3 years of age and older: At the onset of cold symptoms, take 5 pellets every 20 minutes for 1 hour. Then take 5 pellets every 2 hours until symptoms are relieved. Allow the pellets to dissolve in the mouth.

Children younger than 3 years of age: Ask a doctor before use.

My Little Man has been out with a cold, strep, ear infection, croup, pinkeye, flu, etc pretty much non-stop this year- poor kid really has not had a chance to recover before he gets nailed again!
Kamikaze is always physically healthy as a horse, we are lucky in that respect with her.
It came with two tubes, so one kid each.
I really didn’t notice any difference. Little keeps getting sick, and he didn’t seem to get better any faster. Kamikaze had her cold for about 3 days- which is pretty par for the course for her. I don’t know if they worked. I didn’t notice anything. I’m sorry that I don’t have more to say on this subject- but I can’t tell you something that I didn’t actually experience.
One thing- Little Man and Kamikaze, who both take medicine well, both thought that these little pellets/balls of medicine were “fun”, and they liked when I turned them out of the tube for them. We went through the tubes kind of quickly- not because we were OD-ing the kids, LOL, but because the directions told us to give them 5 pellets every 2 hours. Seems crazy, but they are really tiny, and designed to dissolve on the tongue- so it’s not really as much as it sounds like.
However, the kids had no issues eating them. So, if your kids are difficult medicine-takers, this may be one to try out.
