Cancer treatment is a big deal. During and after there is a lot of stress, both on the body and mind. Exercise has been proven to help lower stress and help the body deal with trauma in a healthy way. A great form of exercise, and one of my personal favorites, is yoga. A new DVD by Ocean Soul Yoga brings this exercise program to your living room with Yoga for Cancer Recovery. The DVD is hosted by Clair Petretti, a breast cancer survivor who felt it was necessary to release a yoga program which would help bring those recovering from cancer a helping hand in their struggle with the disease. Ms. Petretti found practicing and teaching yoga to be an important part of her journey to being healthy and wants to share it with the world.

The DVD has 2 classes on it a 60 minute and a 30 minute program. The 60 minute program combines energizing postures and restorative postures to both boost your energy as well as restore bone loss while supporting healthy digestion, circulation and lymphatic flow. The 30 minute program is a relaxation practice to help dissolve stress, alleviate pain and soothe the spirit.

Finding a balance is important to those struggling with an illness. For a survivor, finding power and fighting back begins within. We have all been touched by cancer, one way or another. Thank you to Clair Petretti for giving survivors a program designed for them.
Peace and love to you all.

  3. I think this is a good idea. I wish this had been around when my mom had cancer.

  4. What a great idea. I can’t even imagine the stress both the mind and body is under at that time

  5. I imagine that stress relief would be a viable coping mechanism for any ailment. People do not often factor in how stress affects our bodies.
