Coming Soon to a TV near you- Orangutan Diaries. This 250 minute documentary is broken up into 2 discs. This movie follows a tale from the Borneo Orangutan Foundation. This establishment is a safe haven to orangutans in the Borneo region, nursing hurt or sick orangutans back to full health.

Making his Orangutang face LOL

At the time of filming there were 600 orangutans at the foundation. One of the first things you will notice is 600 orangutans are a lot of monkeys. That, and on first look, these people have the most awesome job in the world πŸ™‚ They get to play with monkeys all day! It could be such fun to play with monkeys all day. The not so fun part, some are sick or hurt, and the reasons can be pretty bad. Some hunted, some kidnapped, some accidents- but no matter the initial trauma, all are welcome at the center.

Baby Arnold is the cutest (according to Little) and makes for a great story. I will not ruin it for you, but it is a great story. There are many stresses and issues for the center, but through it all they are able to help many orangutans and make a difference. It is great to see such cute orangutans and such an important story to be told. The movie was made by the BBC and was aired on PBS in August, and will be available for purchase on DVD on October 2nd. Once October rolls around, we all have another chance to see it at home any time we want!
