The first step is to rip your tissue paper into strips and then into smaller squares. Set aside
Place a piece of wax paper down for your work area.
On the back of a piece of scrapbook paper, draw a heart. Then draw a smaller one inside the
larger one. This is your “window” area.

valentines day heart craftUsing scissors, cut out the inner heart first. Then cut the outline of the outer heart.
Place your heart on the wax paper with the decorated side of the scrapbook paper DOWN.
Starting at the edges, place a piece of tissue paper and coat the edge with mod podge to make it
stick to the scrapbook paper.
Add separate pieces of tissue paper and glue the edges to make sure they stick to the previous
piece. Arrange the colors anyway you want to make your own unique design!
Continue this until the entire inside of your heart is covered! Then let your piece dry completely
(30-60 minutes)
Once your piece is dry, gently remove it from the wax paper.
Flip it over and punch a hole in the top of the heart and insert some yarn and tie off.
Hang your work of art in front of the window!

  1. We have done this in the past as well and the nice thing is that you can make these throughout the year with different colors being used and people love them as gifts from kids!
