Tripographer is the new travel sharing site powered by Marriott. Tripographer is a new way to share those fantastic and fun traveling adventures we all go on. It helps edit or stylize photos, build slides shows and link them to specific locations all this being sharable via all popular social networks from your web browser.
Tripographer starts out with an easy account creation system which links up to your social network or networks of choice. Also available is simply logging in with your Facebook login details, which makes creating an account a breeze. After that the fun begins.
First- the uploading and editing of photos. Each photo uploaded can be edited in the form of ‘stylizing’ it. Stylizing includes applying filters like sepia or blur, or editing which includes: cropping, rotating and flipping your photos. These tools make your more bland photos stand out a bit more while not inundating you with too many options, which could cause confusion for some. There is a size limit per photo of 2 MB so keep this in mind when getting ready to upload by either changing settings on your camera or resizing your images before stylizing.
Stylizing is definitely fun and will add some character to your photos but if the photo isn’t so good to begin with the Stylizer can’t retake the picture, but will help with anything just shy of that. But I do have a tip. Take lots of pictures! If you only take 100 pictures when on a week long vacation they better all be masterpieces and perfect. But if you take 1,000 you can always skim out the not so good ones and end up with quite a few winners in the bunch. Each photo can also include a caption if need be which is always a nice touch. After naming and captioning sharing is next, of course. Sharing is available through all the big social networks including Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr.
Building a slide show of your photos is just as easy as stylizing them, using the same basic interface. Upload, Stylize, Caption and Share. All of which flow to the next culminating in a Slideshow of your adventures.
And last but not least is to build your tour. To build a tour, pick a beginning and an ending, then choose your locations and pictures or slideshows to illustrate your journey in between. This tour can be as complex and in depth as you wish with a few photos per location or the entire slideshow taking place in one location. Either travel style is easy to represent and just as easy to share.
I would highly recommend this service to those of us you who travel regional or internationally to chronicle and share your adventures in a fun way. Check out Tripographer today! http://tripographer.marriott.com/
