Shabby Apple Dress Review

I don’t get dressed up as often as I used to, considering I work from home, and grad school is not a dress up occasion. As a teacher, I used to dress nicely every day for work. Now I wear a whole lot of track pants and tee shirts. I do still like to dress up now and again, on the occasions where we get to go out for a fun night or when we travel.  I love vintage clothing -the fun fits, classic lines, and longer lengths just speak to me. I just feel pretty when I wear something classic. Shabby Apple is a clothing company that specializes in vintage style, modern woman’s clothing.  I recently received the Truman dress, which is a fun take on the “little black dress” every woman needs to own.

This dress works for all seasons, if you change up the accessories.  I would not recommend for summer, it would be too warm.  It has a cowl neck that I love, and a belt that you can tie anywhere you want to.  It runs a little small if you have a large chest, but I often have this problem.

It hit my knee area, which is a good length for me and one I aim for.  I don’t like to wear clothing that is too short or revealing.  I think this would also look cute with a nice pair of heels if I were going out at night to really dress it up, but as you can see, it dresses down nicely as well.

I think this style would flatter most women.  For those with bigger busts, I would suggest ordering up a size or getting the special sizes.  The cut and shape is generally flattering, and the sleeves are cute.
