This is a super easy treat to make for the family. If you thought you couldn’t find the time to make donuts- you are wrong. This is a awesome fool proof way to make up some fresh donuts for any occasion. All you nee is some oil and some Pillsbury biscuits and you are ready to go.

These are rolled in cinnamon sugar, they make a great quick snack for after school!

What you need:

Oil for frying

Deep skillet for frying

1 can of buttermilk biscuits

a small donuts cutter for the holes

rack for placing donuts on once fried

Powdered sugar for coating

Cinnamon Sugar for coating

Directions

Heat oil in frying pan. You only need about an inch.  While it’s heating, use the small 1inch doughnut cutter to cut out the centers of all the biscuits. Once oil is heated enough to cook in place biscuits into the pan and fry. Cook for about 3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. They will puff up just like would in the oven. Set on rack too cool while you finish frying the others. Once slightly cooled coat with your choice of powdered sugar or Cinnamon sugar or a Powdered sugar glaze.

Simple quick glaze consists of milk and powdered sugar. Start with 3/4 cup powdered sugar. Add a tablespoon of milk and mix. From here depending on how thick or thin either add more milk, or add more sugar till it’s the way you want. Simple as that!
