This past weekend, we had the chance to go to a birthday party- a rather unique birthday party, for our “friends” the Transformers. These are toys from the 80’s come back again, first my husband loved them, and now my son does. But really, what’s not to love? These are vehicles that transform into robots that battle- every boy’s dream. Now, however, there are even dinosaur versions, boxing versions, versions that can be built- and even more then meets the eye. So how do you celebrate a birthday party for Transformers? In style, of course!
Here is my fella, playing “Pin the ROAR on the Grimlock”, a new dinosaur Transformer.
Father and son, building Kre-O Transformer creations. There were tons to choose from, and options available depending on skill level and ability to stay focused.
These one step changing Transformers are easy to use and easy to change from vehicle to bot- which this mom loves. I am never good at changing them, my son has always been faster then I am, haha.
For little hands and younger kids, try Rescue bots- these cute and easy to swap versions are perfect for tots and smaller siblings looking to get in on the action- and they are sturdy, too.
Duke it out with Transformers Battle Masters- use the finger pulls and make your robots battle each other in the ring or anywhere you choose. Once once “pops”, the other wins!
My son’s favorite was making his own Hero Mashers- these are some of the newest in the Mashers line which includes many superheros and now Transfomers of all denominations, shapes and….well, lets say breeds? Dinosaurs, Cars, Trucks and more! They do interchange well with the hero versions as well, fantastic addition to your collection.
The Transformers having a snack….They sure look different in real life.
How cute is this? They gave the kids real birthday party “goodie bags” on the way home as well- what an adorable touch!
These toys are all available now in stores near you, and would make great holiday gifts. My son (and his daddy) was just in heaven playing with everything- they were a lot of fun.
