“Tis the season for all things Holly and Jolly, and that usually includes a visit to see Santa. This year, if you are in the area, why not shake things up and visit Santa AND Shrek at the same time?
Best part? You get a whole experiance, not just a quickie Santa’s lap visit and photo. Wait, no, the best part is that you don’t’ have to wait on a zillion hour line. You RSVP online for a time slot, show up, and go right in. We got there just on time, checked in, and waited maybe 5-10 minutes to get inside. Maybe the best part is that the kids were REALLY excited about all the stuff they got to do while on the tour. Or that the price for the tour and photos are not any higher then they were for a typical Santa photo (The cost for a single photo with Santa at Radio City Music Hall is $25. At our local mall, it’s $20. Here, you get a 3 photos of your choice, in a variety of sizes, for $30.) There are a lot of “Best Parts”….It’s hard to choose the best-best part.
After you make your time and reserve your spot to Adventure to Santa via www.CherryHillMall.com, you just have to show up on time. You check in with the elf with the iPad (really) and then wait for the very next tour to begin. Another elf will escort you thought a Shrek and Donkey winter wonderland, where you and your family will get to design sleds, talk with the characters, play games, take a sleigh ride (complete with snow and wind) all the way to the North Pole, and finally- see the big man himself, Santa Claus!
You will be able to take your own photos, as well as choose from the ones that Santa’s elves take for you.
On your way out, you can pick up a few Shrek-tastic goodies, videos, and toys should you choose (and some of the available packages include these) and get your photos. Kids are also able to color pictures, make lists to send to Santa, and even make bags of reindeer feed while there.
This is an awesome way to visit Santa, and totally unique. Your kids will love it, but so will you. The adults had as great of a time as the kids did, and we hope that they are open again next year.
We usually head over to Echelon Mall (Voorhees Town Ctr). Cherry Hill is usually so crowded but yet so close to my house! Maybe I will give it a try this year.
Our local mall has a Santa too, but he looks nothing like yours. Yours looks so much more authentic!
that looks like a lot of fun
That looks like so much fun. What a great Santa, too. He looks very jolly.
We love Shrek too. My son would eat this up. Lucky you and Merry Christmas to you and your family!!
This looks like a lot of fun! I wish they had this near me! We love Shrek and Fiona.
Being able to RSVP is so awesome. They also do that at Santaland at the big Macy’s in NYC.
Not with Shrek they don’t, LOL.
