When it comes to visiting Thailand most of the trip is planned around exploring the country’s various numbers of islands. Phuket has proven to be a juggernaut when it comes to islands all over the country. Out of all the other islands, Phuket is the largest but also it attracts almost one third of the international travelers to the country round the year.

Without a doubt, it should not come as a surprise when there are lots of super fun activities to be done on the island. Phuket is so full of life that you name it and you will find it. From R & R to partying hard, from adventure to sun bathing, from food to socializing- you are bound to get every flavor you wish for.

With so much to offer- planning a trip to Phuket can be immensely intimidating. Worry not! We have compiled a list of most happening things to do in Phuket to give you a sigh of relief. Have a look!

 

  • BUM AROUND THE BEACHES

 

Beaches are the most significant and cardinal highlight of Phuket. For dipping your toes in the sand, there are numerous choices to indulge into. But due to the vigorous amount of tourists pouring in every second, you should be sure which ones to avoid and the ones to visit.

One of the most sought after stop is Patong Beach which remains loaded with tourists round the clock. So, if you are looking to relax and crowd free space, it should be avoided. Unless, you wish to be stepped upon by touts and run over by the jet skis Patong Beach should be given a hard pass.

Now that we have raised the curtain from the bad news, lets us give out the best ones to be visited which are less crowded and not so many pushy vendors. Nai Harn Beach, Nai Yang Beach, Karon Beach and Pleumsuk to name a few that should be visited.

 

  • BIG BUDHA

 

One of the most reverenced and a treasured landmark in Phuket is big Budha. It is 45 meters tall is located atop highest peak of Nakkerd Hills, from where you can view mesmerizing and breathtaking panoramic sceneries. It can also be seen from many other tourists’ spots on the island. There is no entrance fee to visit the Budha, but many people voluntarily donate to receive a white tile to write their message on.

 

  • ADVENTURE- DIVING AND SNORKELING

 

Either you are travelling as a couple, with family or solo, the best thing to do in Phuket is to indulge in water adventure. For the courageous there are uncountable number of adventure opportunities like snorkeling and deep sea diving. Many islands offers solo activities or you can take a tour to explore different spots and lax at the sea.

 

  • OUT AND ABOUT TO THE NIGHT MARKETS

 

If adventure does not thrill you then back on land there are plenty of other activities that might interest you like surfing through the ginormous night markets. Night markets are an eminent highlight of Thailand; they are full of life, culture, food, activities and not so expensive goods to be bought.
