I’m here, I am! :)

Hey all-
Sorry for being a bit MIA this weekend- between Day Out With Thomas, overnight shifts, and Little Man’s friend birthday party- I was really “in it”!  I was just so, so tired last night.  And I never do this, but I just went to bed.  I’m sorry!
🙂
But I will make up for it today.
Here they come!

Today

Sorry I am a bit MIA today!  I was in PA all day for Thomas, and now I am working an overnight.  So, I’m sorry!  But I will be back tomorrow night.  Sunday morning after church, is Little Man’s Birthday Party with his friends from school.  His birthday is in July, but it is better to do the party before his little buddies all go away for the summer, so we are doing it early this year.  I’ll give you lots of photos- and I think you will be surprised when you see his theme (he picked it- such a wacky boy, LOL).
Have a great day, and if  you are a new follower from the 7/8 Sensory Hop, I will make sure to get you back in the next few days, and I appreciate you understanding that I am just not on this weekend and not getting mad at me, LOL.  Sometimes- LIFE HAPPENS!  Lol.
I will also have more reviews and contests for you tomorrow.  Have a happy Sunday, Bloggy Buddies!
And welcome, new friends!

Day Out With Thomas

OY, they should have called it “Line Day”, LOL.  I will upload pics and give you all sorts of details ASAP.  It was a long day, and while it was cute and fun, it was too crowded and had too many lines for too many things, and those lines were WAY TOO LONG for my taste.  Plus, no strollers in lines- not cool for parents of little peanuts- and it was hot.  Hot lines with crabby kids, bored from waiting- not cool.  I was not prepared for a theme-park like wait for every activity.  I like the regular train days at Strasburg better, even if you can’t see Thomas.  But it was something that you should do once, at least, if you have a little train fan like I do!  My Little Man LOVES Thomas.  What a day!  LOL.  But Little Man liked it a lot, even if he was mad at all the lines.  He got to meet his buddy, Thomas!  🙂
See you tomorrow!

Bindi Irwin Wildlife Series- Review and Contest

G’day mate!  (LOL)
There is a great new book series out there.  I’m sure you all know the tragic story of Steve Erwin, “The Crocodile Hunter”.  If not please feel free to take a quick look: his story.  Ok now that you are all back, his daughter is Bindi Irwin.  She wants to, “…help endangered wildlife just like dad did.”  She is trying very hard to make a difference, through education.  Bindi has started to release her own book line, Bindi Wildlife Adventures.  Her first book, Trouble at the zoo  did a nice job of setting the tone for the series.  This book is sweet- is a great book for kids between the grades of one through four.  It involves a particular hairy event during the celebration of Bindi‘s birthday party at the Australian zoo.  Lots of zany stuff happens, like karaoke, animal rides, dancing- there is even some mystery and a macaw.  That’s right a macaw!  This critter was Kamikaze’s favorite, too.  She was able to read and understand what was going on in the story with a little help.  A bit of background on Kamikaze- She is an average student in first grade, but she is great at math while struggling with reading- so books like this that she really enjoys will help motivate her to practice.  She really liked this book and will probably follow the series.  Which is great considering this is teaching her about animals, science, activism, and reading.  The only downside is…we have to wait for the next books to come out! LOL  I am just happy she is learning the excitement that is reading.  Her momma loves to read, and I hope she will, too!  We are also animal activists in this house, so reading about helping animals, and learning about animals is familiar and fun territory for her.

Choo Choo Barn- part 2!

You all know how much Little loves trains, and how much fun we had visiting the Choo Choo Barn in Lancaster, PA. We are visiting Lancaster again this weekend, and are planning to stop back at the Choo Choo barn- it was so adorable!

Kiddie Academy

So I ask you Bloggy Buddies, what fields will there always be a demand for?  There are a few, one of which is child care at a reasonable price.  These establishments are all over and it can be difficult to set yourself apart from the rest of the pack, and get your name out there.  Kiddie Academy has found a way to do so!  Kiddie Academy has been the leader in education based child care for over thirty years.  We moms have a secret weapon in the field of educational child care, want to know what it is?  We are moms, we ARE educational child care.  How often do you have to clean up a mess while telling your little ones why the rice crispies are popping or what makes the sun so hot.  With some motivation and a plan, you can turn this honed skill into a source of income for you and your family. For more information take a look: How is Kiddie Academy different?  How is Kiddie Academy different?  And of course How to become a franchise.
I think the greatest feature of this is it is only as complex as you’d like it to be.  Someone could open just a single small Academy or a whole bunch of them like Donald Trump opening casinos!! Well, except no gambling, and lots off learning!!  Haha.
