Thanksgiving is well in the past and turkeys across the country are breathing a sigh of relief.  This relief will last a few months, and as such- why not look at a movie about our delicious feathered friends (turkeys) with the movie Free Birds.

Free Birds follows the story of turkeys during the Thanksgiving season who are trying to not be the main course and live to see another day.  The main character, Reggie, is initially the only smart turkey of the group at the farm trying to warn the others of the eminent holiday and what this holiday means.  But instead Reggie winds up as next in line for dinner.  But lucky for Reggie his adventure continues as he is the pardoned turkey, and goes on to live at Camp David eating pizza.  But his days of pizza and soap operas comes to an end with Jake.  Through time travel, kidnapping, gun powder and some love Reggie makes new friends, saves the day and makes pizza a national food.

The Guys of Need for Speed

DreamWorks Pictures’ “Need for Speed” marks an exciting return to the great car culture films of the 1960s and ’70s, when the authenticity of the world brought a new level of intensity to the action on-screen. Tapping into what makes the American myth of the open road so appealing, the story chronicles a near-impossible cross-country journey for our heroes — one that begins as a mission for revenge, but proves to be one of redemption. Based on the most successful racing video game franchise ever with over 140 million copies sold, “Need for Speed” captures the freedom and excitement of the game in a real-world setting, while bringing to life the passion for the road that has made our love of cars so timeless.

The film centers around Tobey Marshall (Aaron Paul), a blue-collar mechanic who races muscle cars on the side in an unsanctioned street-racing circuit. Struggling to keep his family-owned garage afloat, he reluctantly partners with the wealthy and arrogant ex-NASCAR driver Dino Brewster (Dominic Cooper). But just as a major sale to car broker Julia Maddon (Imogen Poots) looks like it will save Tobey’s shop, a disastrous race allows Dino to frame Tobey for a crime he didn’t commit, and sending Tobey to prison while Dino expands his business out West.

Vivienne Westwood Couture Wedding Dress Designed Exclusively for Miss Piggy

Will Kermit the Frog Finally Say “I Do”?  (again, if you are a fan of the Muppets and saw the first one, LOL)

SHOT_4_047 R3

11th Feb 2014. At last! Miss Piggy is back on the big screen, starring in Disney’s “Muppets Most Wanted,” which follows the Muppets on a grand, star-studded tour throughout Europe. The European setting screamed romance to Miss Piggy, who’s been trying to convince her favourite frog to tie the knot for years. But what will the divine diva don for the all-new film, which hits theatres in the US March 21, 2014? Vivienne Westwood was commissioned to create couture designs for the fashion icon, including a white dress that would be perfect for a wedding … if one should actually take place.

“Vivienne Westwood is fabulous—just like moi,” said Miss Piggy. “When I asked her to design this wedding dress for moi’s new movie “Muppets Most Wanted,” she was thrilled and I was thrilled. The only one a bit ‘iffy’ about it was the Frog.”

In the film, Miss Piggy wears a Vivienne Westwood couture Long Ivory Court wedding gown, with corset detailing and paillettes made from recycled plastic bottles, accessorised with an ivory tulle veil. Piggy also entrusted the designer with additional looks for the film, including a Vivienne Westwood couture Harris Tweed houndstooth check coat and matching beret worn in a scene set at Tower of London. Miss Piggy also chose a long silver hand-embroidered floral lace gown for a very special number in the film.

Freebirds_Rushmorec7209b

The characters of the hilarious animated adventure take over famous US Landmarks in honor of the film’s release on Blu-ray and DVD.

Jake and Reggie were two turkeys with a simple plan–to steal an artificially-intelligent time machine named S.T.E.V.E. from a top-secret government testing site, use it to travel to the first Thanksgiving and get turkey off the holiday menu once and for all. Of course, once they had one successful trip through time, they just couldn’t help making just a few other minor changes to American history.
