Dolling Up

Got dolls on the brain?  If you have daughters, nieces, or sons who like playing baby, then chances are that you do. While the choices in dolls may seem as endless as that hour between dinner and bedtime, there are some fun new twists on the basic baby doll that have recently come out, and your little doll is sure to love.

Gund’s Peek a Boo Dolly is great for the youngest children,engaging them in a game and talking to them. She pulls her pink blanket up over her eyes and asks “where did you go?”  and “peek a boo, I found you!” as she lowers it.  She says 6 different phrases, and plays for roughly 40 seconds at a time when her button is pressed.  She is soft and snuggly, and kids will love to hold her. With a sweet smile on her face and fleecy clothes, she looks happy, plush, and has no small parts to choke on or become loose.  She needs 3 AAA batteries, which are included. Adora’s PlayTime™ Babies Love Ewe is so sweet, and would make a great Easter or spring doll for your precious little one. Dressed in a little lamb covered one piece outfit and pink headband, she is adorable and kids will gravitate to her.  She comes with her own bottle, her eyes open and close when you move her, and she can suck her own thumb.  The best part about this baby, is that she is completely machine washable.  You read that right!  When she gets dirty, as your kid’s favorite toy is bound to, just toss her in the wash on gentle and hang her on the line to dry.  Can’t get any easier then that.   You and your child will appreciate the life like features of this toy- from her little fingernails to her turned up toes, she is as sweet as they come.

As you all probably know by now, my daughters are all about their baby dolls. I am pretty sure that we don’t go anywhere or do anything with out a baby in tow. The Alyssa 18″ doll from Adora dolls has been the perfect addition to our family.

Valley Of The Dolls

Got a special girl at home?  Maybe a niece or granddaughter who you are soon to be shopping for.  So many girls love dolls- but there is more to the genre then the cuddly babydoll or Barbie. Take a look at some of the most interesting dolls available today.

Doc Mc Stuffins, star of her own TV show of the same name, has a bevvy of adorable toys for your tot to play with.

The “Doc Is In Clinic” is a fantastic playhouse that comes with all that you need to play- right away.  You don’t need to go buy more “things” for the set, it’s ready as soon as you open it.  Decorate the house/clinic with included stickers, place the furniture about, and get to work treating sick stuffed toys, STAT!  Comes with Doc, 2 “stuffed” (plastic) toys that talk when used with the clinic table, and all the furnishings for Doc’s room as well as her Doctor’s area. The Doctor’s Dress Up Set provides everything your child will need to pretend she is Doc herself.  From the white coat to sparkly headband and even the striped shirt underneath (which I thought was quite thorough), as well as “doctor essentials” like a stethoscope and name tag- this is a great doctor kit for girls and a great way to dress up as her favorite doctor.  Retails at about $20.

Bratz Doll Review and Giveaway

Are you a Bratzies? My girls are! They are well on their way into the Bratz movement, and enjoying the fun with the cool new trend setting Bratz dolls. I will admit first off right now I didn’t like the entire Bratz dolls when I first saw them years ago. I didn’t find them appropriate at all and this entire review changed my mind completely. I had no idea what the Bratz stood for, all I saw was some edgy doll that my girls had begged me for, so I will share how and why my outlook on this line of dolls has changed forever!

We got Cloe, My Passion Bratz . She  is spunky with colorful with an eye popping style all her own which makes her fun and edgy. Cloe has long blonde hair with spunky black streak through it, my girls liked that she was unlike any other doll they usually play with . While the girls played with the doll I had looked up information on it trying to see the whole picture and that’s when I found out what they are all about.
