Florida’s “funnest” theme park, Legoland Florida is less then a year old. At 150 acres, this theme park is located in Winter Garden, Florida- just a short drive from the Disney area. With more then 50 different rides and attractions, not to mention varied eateries, Miniland, and a brand new waterpark- they recommend the park for ages 2 – 12 years old.
The ticket prices are (without discount, which are easy to find!) $75 for adults and $65 for children- or for a waterpark and park combo you can pay $87 and $77. Personally, I think that they should be including the waterpark in the park pass, and find that to be a bit discouraging. Many theme parks we have been to, and written about here, do not charge separately if they have a waterpark within the park. There is also a “regular” parking fee of $12.
Of course, the best value is a multi-day pass for vacationers or annual passes for locals. You can bypass long ticket lines by buying your tickets ahead of time online or at local participating Wal-Mart & Publix stores. If you have a great time, but didn’t get it all in- you can buy a second day upgrade at the park, which you must use within 10 days of purchase. An upgrade to an Annual Pass is $50 (+ tax) for adults and $30 for kids, and is good one year from the date of purchase. This does not include $12 parking. Kids under 3 are free- which is always a good thing. There are things to do for small kids, from carousel rides, to Duplo Villiage, to the many LEGO attractions- however, the rides are geared towards bigger kids, and not toddlers.
