I needed to take a look at the kids bedding sets, since Little needed a new set. Dinosaurs, stars and moons, cowboys and even teddy bears and turtles. We thought the Woodland Forest set was a perfect fit for him- he chose it himself. Everybody knows how much Little loves animals 🙂 The colors are bright, the characters are “super cutie” in Little’s words, and the price is right too. It’s always easier, in my opinion, to buy in a set that comes all together.
Little Man loves all the foxes and how busy and alive the set looks without being [Read more…]
KFC and Comedy Central launched the “Growing Up and Getting Out” original content web series and contest this week. Aimed at the millennial “Basement Generation,” the series—featuring top Comedy Central talent and written and produced exclusively for KFC—celebrates the grown-up taste of KFC’s new Original Recipe Bites, which just hit KFC menus on July 9.
Fact: According to Pew Research, one in four Millennials have moved home in the recession but for almost half of the 18 to 24 year-olds who are still living at their parents’ house, the economy did not drive them back. In fact, many would have never moved out in the first place.
To give this “Basement Generation” the push they need to set out on their own, highlights of the “Growing Up and Getting Out” original digital series and contest include:
There are few cities that are as intoxicating as Istanbul. It’s quite simply a breathtaking city, with so much to offer that even the longest holiday would struggle to fit it all in.
The flight is around 4 hours, and transfers are short – depending on traffic. If you fly into the huge Ataturk airport, you’ll find a bigger range of flights, however I flew into Sabiha Gokcen airport, and found it great value.
To really make your break a little more relaxing make sure you get all those extras covered. I find this a godsend when I have early flights, and I’m feeling not quite with it! Check out, Heathrow Parking or Gatwick Parkingwhen heading out of the capital. Both offer fantastic rates and great facilities, meaning your holiday starts with a bang.
So you’ve landed and found your hotel. Now what?
Get your walking boots on, this is one huge city.
Istanbul is the only city in the world to straddle two continents, and that in my book is something pretty special. To one side you have Asia, and to the other is Europe, all linked by the imposing Bosphorus bridge. You will land in one continent and cross to the other, literally in seconds.
I stayed on the European side, in Sultanahmet, but visited the Asian side, and found both to be very different. Whilst Europe is predictably high-rise and bustling, the Asian side is a little more chilled-out, yet both have a special vibe that is quite different from the other. I’d recommend visiting both sides.
Sultanahmet is where most of the sightseeing places are, and I found it a great base. The city is easy to get around, with a metro system linking all major areas and attractions. Alternatively [Read more…]
My friend Tatyana spent the summer seeking out the perfect bathing suit- and I think she has finally found it. Read on to see why she loves this suit so much- and why it may be perfect for you, too! We have very different body types, and I think it is good to see how different shapes and cuts can benefit different women. Take it away, Tatyana!
Can I just tell you how much I love my A.N.A. bathing suit? I was happy to know that the A.N.A. line comes in various styles from tankini, bandini and a two piece. The A.N.A. line also has some great colors to suit every woman’s taste. I was happy to know that this line also has accessories like shorts and cover-ups to go with their bathing suit.
It has pieces to mix and match as well to allow flexibility in swim wear. My one piece, chocolate colored swimsuit fits like it was made for me. The silhouette it creates would never let you know that I was a bit overweight. From a slight distance, I look like a very curvy woman, and close up I still look like curvy without the “extras”. The ruching in the front hides the little bulge with ease. The straps are wide and do not hurt the shoulders or leave any ugly red marks. The little skirt in the front and the back allows me to hide my little bathing suit lines on the bottom.
It does not ride up when I went diving or swimming and it does not balloon like some other skirted bathing suits once you get in the water. After putting in on, I felt like stepped out of a 1930’s movie [Read more…]
