Marvel’s “The Avengers” beat out “Harry Potter” in the Box Office!
The Walt Disney Studios announced today that Marvel’s The Avengers posted an estimated $200.3 million in its domestic debut May 4-6, shattering previous records and positioning the film as the highest-grossing domestic debut of all time. The film’s cumulative global box office gross is an estimated $641.8 million over 12 days in release, making it the Number 1 top box office hit for opening weekend in North America!
In just three days, Marvel’s the Avengers is the fastest movie to reach $200 million domestically. The domestic debut kicked off Friday, May 4 and marks the second highest single day take of all time at $80.5 million. DREAMWORKS PICTURES’ “PEOPLE LIKE US” AND SPRINKLES CUPCAKES CELEBRATE FAMILY
BURBANK, CALIF. (April 26, 2012) — DreamWorks Pictures announced today that they are teaming up with Sprinkles Cupcakes to promote their film “People Like Us” with events at the ten Sprinkles Cupcakes stores around the country. The promotion will run from May 2-June 29, 2012, and is centered around five family-themed holidays: Brothers and Sisters Day (May 2), Mother’s Day (May13), Visit Your Relatives Day (May 18), Father’s day (June 17) and National Forgiveness Day (June 26).
On the designated “People Like Us” holidays, Sprinkles Cupcakes in all ten locations will give out a free cupcake to each customer who comes in between the hours of 12 noon and 2 p.m. and says, “People Like Us.” Any customer can vote online for the official “People Like Us” flavor and the winning cupcake will be announced the week of the film’s opening. Customers can also pick up punch cards in Sprinkles Cupcakes stores, redeemable on the selected ‘People Like Us” holidays for a free cupcake. “People Like Us”-branded coffee trucks or carts will be at various locations on Brothers and Sisters Day, May 2, to kick off the start of the promotion with free coffee. “People Like Us” is a drama/comedy about family, inspired by true events, starring Chris Pine (“Star Trek”) as Sam, a twenty-something, fast-talking salesman, whose latest deal collapses on the day he learns that his father has suddenly died. Lady and the Tramp DVD Now Out
Everyone can appreciate a classic movie. Especially Disney animated films. The amount of attention and love that goes into each movie is astounding and would be a shame to lose. Lady and the Tramp is one such movie. You don’t realize how good it is until you see it again.
The story line is timeless the characters are memorable and the scenes with Lady and Tramp falling in love are breathtaking. The only flaw you could say about it is, no blu ray and a lack of extras. Disney decided to remedy this that with their new Diamond Edition release of Lady and The Tramp. In this release there is both the blu ray and DVD disc as well as hours and hours of extras including deleted scenes and songs, a memoir by Diane Disney Miller to her father Walt Disney and so much more.

I am sure you all know how excited Little Man is for the newest of “The Buddies Movies”. These movies revolve around a group of cute golden retrievers who go on adventures in fun family friendly ways. The most recent addition to the set is Treasure Buddies. This is the sixth film in the series. Treasure Buddies follows Rosebud, B-Dawg, Budderball, Buddha, and Mudbud as they go treasure hunting in Egypt for the Cat’s Eye jewel.
