Have all of you heard about Branson yet? Branson is quickly becoming a go to spot for family fun where there is something for everyone. There are hundreds of shops, attractions, golf and Silver Dollar City. All of Branson is at your door step when you stay at either the luxury AND pet friendly Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing or the warm inviting and also pet friendly Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel . The cool park about booking a hotel in these suites is the packages, you can get a package that includes admission to Silver Dollar City, golfing, or just airfare a car and the hotel. Whatever your pick you can save some money and still have a really good time. Silver Dollar City is a wild west themed amusement park full of rides and fun. Directly downstairs from the Promenade is the Level 2 steak house, who doesn’t like a nice salad or chicken dish or an award winning steak of course. 🙂

Over the holidays Branson goes all out. The Level 2 steakhouse has a special Thanksgiving brunch and “Turkey to go”. While the hotels themselves offer special Santa Claus packages where included with the room is breakfast with Santa at the Level 2 restaurant and a present for your little ones. This package starts at $228 a night. I would definitely suggest branching out a bit for the holidays- you deserve a break too, you know 🙂

Bob Evans Farm Festival- I am a Correspondent! @DiscoverOhio #Travel #Tourism

It’s time some good ‘ol American fun. We are heading to the Bob Evans 41st Annual Farm Festival as Farm Festival Correspondents. This festival is held from Oct 14th thru 16th. from 9 am to 5 pm, yes that is next weekend! Quick! Call out from work lol.

This festival is a celebration of everything farm and American. They will have concerts ranging from country music to gospel playing all weekend long. Also there will be vendors there selling crafts, antiques, food of all sorts. And of course a children’s petting zoo and Kids Farmyard are going to be there. Little Man is so excited. He loves farms and anything farm related. Bob Evans will also have it’s own food tent and restaurant for some of that wonderful Bob Evans home cooked meals. Looking over the foods going to be served there there are: bean soup and corn bread, kettle corn, pies, apple dumplings, ice cream and Ohio-made cheese. Also there is something which is intrigue me called trail bologna. Going to have to check that out when we get there. Just about all of us love the bologna especially Little Man. Not so much me…but hey! Can’t win the m all, LOL.

This is definitely going to be a trip to remember. A nice wholesome family even with lots to keep us all busy and entertained. Shopping for the ladies, farming for the men folk and great food for all the folk. Once you are ready to wind down a bit and learn a bit of history there is also the Bob Evans Homestead Museum, which follows the history of Bob Evans you can even sit at a reconstructed counter from the first steak house owned by Bob Evans. Hopefully I’ll see some of you there, I’ll be one of the many moms chasing their little one around the petting zoo. 🙂

My son is the biggest Bob Evans fan in the world, being a lover of all things Farm and Amish related- he also believes all deep voiced country music singers are “farmers” for some reason, LOL. It’s getting cooler outside- Warm Up at CoCo Key Water Resorts! @DiscoverOhio #tourism

The weather is getting cooler- now is the PERFECT time to get away to CoCo Key Water Resorts! You can play the day away at this Cincinnati, Ohio indoor water park, where no matter what the weather is outside, inside- It’s always Florida!

Find thousands of gallons of warm water at your fingertips as you enter this beautiful resort, with several room options to choose from when you plan your stay. After you check in, make sure you check out the Shark Slam and Gator Gush, as well as several other body or raft water slides that will have you seeing summer (even if it’s snowing outside!)

The lack of long lines, having to pay to park, or drive to a separate location is already worth the trip. CoCo, the adorable mascot, is sure to delight especially your younger park-goers (I know my son just HAD to have a stuffed CoCo, available in the souvenir shop for under $8!). What child won’t be thrilled with a snorkeling parrot pal?

There are water slides and areas for the very small to the young at heart, and everyone in between. There are slides and rides that everyone can enjoy, and your entire family will have a great time playing at CoCo Keys Water Resort. (Life jackets are provided, so you can play without worrying!)

Mom and Dad can grab a drink at the Wet Rooster Bar, and the whole family can grab dinner at A&W or Pizza Hut. There is also a restaurant at the hotel, and there is a buffet breakfast available. You can plan your child’s birthday party at CoCo Key- not only is there the waterpark, but also a fun arcade available.

Worry Woos- Say Hello To Wince! (Adorable Kids Toys and Books)

This past weekend, we had the opportunity to meet Wince, the newest of the Worry Woo monsters! Wince, the monster of Worry, just can’t seem to stop thinking of all that he has to do, and this stops him from doing all that he needs and wants to. Poor Wince! The worst part is, that all of his worrying just feeds the bothersome WorryBug, who just gets larger and larger- until little Wince needs to enlist the help of some friends to figure out how to be rid of this pesky pest once and for all.

Surprise- it was also Wince’s birthday! YAY!

The kids had a great time meeting Wince, and browsing all of the Worry Woo merchandise, created by Andi Green. Each Worry Woo has it’s own adorable plush toy and story to go with it, helping children to embrace their emotions and learn how to deal productively with their feelings. The kids all colored their own Woos, and put on temporary Tattoos and learned how to draw their own worrybug!

My kids had a great time at Wince’s party, as did the others there. And if you want to wait until November, I have a special surprise for all of you as well!
In the meantime, Embrace YOUR inner Woo, and try not to feed the worrybug.
Sometimes I think these kids’ stories are REALLY meant for their parents, as well, LOL.
