Lenox Iris Vase Review and Giveaway

Still looking for a pretty gift for Mother’s Day?

This beautiful Lenox vase is shaped like a flower with an iris on it, its called the Iris Vase.It is elegant and perfectly made, as all Lenox items are.
This particular vase is sculpted and hand painted, fluted fine China. It would look perfect on a mantle top, with an floral arrangement peeking out of it. This would also. of course, make a good gift for mother’s day. I know my mom would love it- but I think my grandmother would like it even more.

It also has a bit of weight to it which is nice. Doesn’t feel like its made [Read more…]

Easter Adorable from The Children’s Place @thechildrensplc

Why do so few clothing stores make only a couple of options for boys? Nothing really cool or super fab. There are not many stores that cater to both boys AND girls. I love being the mom of a son, but shopping for fun clothes for him is challenging. He has his own taste (the child thinks he is a rock star) and it’s nearly impossible to fins clothing that he likes that I can afford. Hello? Do I look like I can afford boutique shopping? No, no I can’t. But he can look like I do, right? Enter The Children’s Place– home of all sorts of fabulous, at a price even I can afford (oh, and they are SO GOOD about sales- yay! Make sure you sign up for their newsletter and emails if you haven’t yet, you are so missing out if you are not on those lists!)

Yes- the girls clothes are really cute, trendy, and fun. But how often can you REALLY find great, stylish, boys items? Right? You know what I mean, moms, aunts, and grandmas of boys. It’s not easy. And they really make the outfit with the boy in mind- from belts to ties to hats- they know what a trendy boy wants to wear. Of course, you can buy jeans and T-Shirts there as well, but they are just so much more fun to shop at then any other store for me. If you look at my photos from this website, you can see that EASILY more then 70% of Little Man’s clothing comes from The Children’s Place. They keep the kid (and mommy’s wallet!) [Read more…]

Frecklebox- Fun Easter Gifts

Daddy was excited about this particular review, and asked to man the review. Take it away, Daddy!

There is a certain amount of pleasure surrounding reading to your kids. Not only is it fun to see their eyes light up and follow the tale you are weaving, but it is also nice to know you are laying a foundation of good reading habits for them to follow into their adult lives. My father used to read to me and now I read as often as I can, I hope my kids do the same. But I will be the first to admit it is trying sometimes. The kids get bored, the story hits a not so exciting part, etc. There is a way to keep the kids interested in the whole story having them in the story!

Check out the new personalized books from Frecklebox. These are not the books you may remember growing [Read more…]

Lena the Lamb- Perfect for Your Easter Basket @GottaGettaGUND

My Little Man loves Easter. It is his favorites holiday- he loves soft things, animals, and bunnies- so this really is “it” for him. Christmas is great, but he just adores Easter. Special church services, the end of Lent, the best food is at Easter, and then a giant bunny brings you candy and toys. HELLO! Best. Day. Ever.
We have the cutest little lamb to put into his Easter basket this year- Lena Lamb. Lena is the perfect Easter gift because not only is she super soft and cuddly, but she is unique as well.

Gund’s talking “Lena Lamb” is a mommy lamb who recites nursery rhymes to the baby lamb in her arms Telling nursery rhymes in a soothing voice [Read more…]

St. Patrick’s Day Tree Craft

After Christmas time my kids asked if we could keep the tree up. They love the bright colors and the lights. At first I refused because I like my home to stay neat, tidy and tree-free (after Christmas has passed). Even with 23+ years of experience working with kids I still have my moments of wanting NO MESSES!

I soon moved past that idea and thought, “Why not, eh? Kids need to have fun – no harm done here.” We decided then and there to decorate a tree for various holidays all year long. So far we’ve have a Valentine’s Day Tree and now… our St. Patrick’s [Read more…]

Hershey’s Easter Candy Review and Giveaway

Here comes Peter cotton tail. And of course its time to fill little plastic eggs and wicker baskets with chocolates and other delectable sweets.
My suggestion is to go with the good stuff, because in the end who is going to be eating the “left-overs”?
That’s right, mom and dad. In this case? Dad- maybe before Little gets into it, LOL.
You know the best stuff- Hershey’s!

Their products range from the milk chocolate greatness of Hershey Kisses in Easter colors to Jolly Rancher Sours Bunnies. Maybe even some Cookies n Creme Drops. The drops are candy coated chocolate pieces, these are white chocolate with little chocolate cookies pieces, perfect for letting them melt in your mouth a few at a time. If the bunnies theme floats your boat, take a look at the Mini Robin Eggs in a bunny themed Easter wrapper. (This one will be Little’s fav, just because of the bunny wrap.)

Hershey’s are great for their taste, price and [Read more…]

North American Bear Review and C0NTEST #Easter @NABearCo

My son love, loves, loves Easter. As holiday fun goes, he likes Christmas- but he LOVES Easter. He’s a wacky kid, what can I say? As a lover of all things cute and cuddly, my sweet boy gets very excited about hugging the Easter Bunny, and the bunny coming to our house to leave him a basket. Dying eggs, the special church service- it’s all special to him. And we all know that Easter food is the best of the year! (If you disagree- you are clearly NOT Italian! LOL)

I love finding fun Easter toys for him. One of my favorite finds is North American Bear Co, not just because thee toys are cute- which they are. They are also innovative, interesting, and machine washable.

Yes- you read that right. Almost all the toys can be machine washed. If your child has ever vomited, pooped, or even dropped his or her toy into something….unsavory…..you know what a lifesaver this is. We have all scrubbed our little pumpkin’s favorite “lovie” in a sink because it had “ew” all over it and it couldn’t be washed in your machine. WHY, toy makers, why do this to your customers? Not North American Bear! They make toys with both mom’s and kids in mind- safe for even the youngest babies, loved by kids of all ages, and coveted by mommies everywhere- since they won’t be spending an hour washing it in a sink after thier little [Read more…]
