5 Fun Activities for a Child’s Birthday Party

When you’re in the midst of planning a birthday party for your child, the best part about it is that kids are entertaining (and entertainment) all on their own. In other words, their happy disposition and boundless amounts of energy make it easier to plan ways to keep them amused.

However, in the midst of all of their joy and excitement, you want to plan a few activities that will not only be fun for them, but can keep a certain level of order among a room full of kids too. It’s a fine balance, but we have five activities that will be able to pull this kind of goal off:

Sports Center. Do you have a child that likes all things sports? If so, taking them and some of their friends to a local sports center can be a lot of fun because there are a variety of things for them to choose from whether it’s swimming, playing football or even going ice skating.

Painting. There used to be a time when parents thought about children and painting and it didn’t bring about warm and sentimental feelings because all that they could think about was all of the mess that would be [Read more…]

EK Holiday Crafts #GiftGuide

One of the things that has always amazed me about the holidays and decorations and such are the amount of home-made but bought in the store crafts you can buy. These items are often sold at astronomical prices and look used already, but don’t have the character and feel of stuff you already own and are made by hand. There is no thumb print in the paint, or extra glue blob on the glitter, give it that unique sparkle when the light hits it just right. In their place there is uniform, pseudo-simple decorations made by people you never will know and they didn’t even have the decency to sign the back of it!

Mystixx Vampire Doll Review

This is Kalani! She is a doll that transforms from a vampire into a school girl just by turning her head! In addition to Kalani, there are also 3 other dolls that you can get: Talin, Silva, or Azra.

All of the dolls have different personalities that focus on characteristics, like confidence, compassion, competiveness, and intelligence. The storyline says that the girls are all from different backgrounds, and they have recently started going to a new school together.

I received Kalani. Although my daughter is a little young for the vampires and such, she thought that it was pretty cool that the [Read more…]

FURREAL FRIENDS BABY BUTTERSCOTCH, MY MAGICAL SHOW PONY

This new addition to the Furreal Friends line from Hasbro is the most animated and responsive yet, responding to the touch, eating her “food”, whinnying and batting her eyes. She has soft, pose-able legs, and will respond to cuddles and nuzzles in kind, as well as to being brushed or fed her carrot (both included). She moves her ears, and will respond to your child’s talking to her by whinnying back. When she is fed her carrot, she makes happy crunching sounds and “chews” on her snack. Baby Butterscotch will give children the experience of owning a virtually real, animated pony- even snoring as she goes to sleep after a long day of play.
