There are few creative outlets you can give to kids that would keep them as entertained and expressive as a box of crayons. The difficult part of this can be- how to make crayons and art supplies fresh, new, and different. Crayola is constantly innovating and releasing new products that do just that.

One of their newest products is the Color Wonder sets. They aren’t crayons, but markers- so these may be better for the over 3 year age set. Color Wonder are markers that only color on special Color Wonder coloring pages. These means no marker colors on clothes, walls, tables, cars, ceilings or your pet.

The new Color Wonder Tiny Tubes are the same Color Wonder markers and coloring sheets in an easy to carry container that fits in a cup holder, which makes them perfect for travel. These tubes come with 18 coloring sheets, three markers and the tube for carrying it all. Each coloring page is also has a light adhesive on it, so the artwork can be stuck up to be shown off. Your little Picasso will love that aspect, LOL.

Bounce-A- Long Buddies- Review and Contest

Our spring break was spent stuck inside while it rained for nearly a week! Ever try to keep four kids entertained when all they want and need to do is get energy out? Let me tell you now it’s not easy, but I had some help this past week from two really fun and kid approved Bounce-A-Long Buddies!

We reviewed “Moo Moo” which is about 17″ and “Trotter” who is 20″, both are $39.99 and ship deflated of course.



Cute aren’t they? These super fun, kid powered and soft bouncing buds are designed for both indoor and outdoor use. The ears for both cow and horse act as an extra grip handle for the kids to easily grasp at. Puts a bounce in a rainy day I’m telling you! I thought my older kids were too big for the bouncing buds but each buddy can support up to 220lbs, so all my kids got to enjoy these. They are rated for ages 3 +

Why do so few clothing stores make only a couple of options for boys? Nothing really cool or super fab. There are not many stores that cater to both boys AND girls. I love being the mom of a son, but shopping for fun clothes for him is challenging. He has his own taste (the child thinks he is a rock star) and it’s nearly impossible to fins clothing that he likes that I can afford. Hello? Do I look like I can afford boutique shopping? No, no I can’t. But he can look like I do, right? Enter The Children’s Place– home of all sorts of fabulous, at a price even I can afford (oh, and they are SO GOOD about sales- yay! Yes- the girls clothes are really cute, trendy, and fun. But how often can you REALLY find great, stylish, boys items? Right? You know what I mean, moms, aunts, and grandmas of boys. It’s not easy. Tiny Tillia- Sweet Gifts from Avon

I am a sucker for a stuffed animal. If it is stuffed and full soft I fall in love and so does my son. We are kindred spirits in our love of all things cute, soft and cuddlable. I especially like stuffed critters which are unique and different, like lets say a stuffed giraffe wearing a tie.

This particular giraffe is just about the softest thing I have ever touched. He is sixteen inches tall and ours name is Jeff the Giraffe. Yours of course will have another name but Little Man is the official name giver and we are glad its name wasn’t “Brownie” or “Cutie”.

Happy travel with children is all about preparation, careful planning and control. Budget rent a car travel and planes are two of the best ways to master control even if you have three small kids and the adults are always outnumbered. The two worst options for traveling with children include travel bus tours and connecting intercontinental economy flights.
Why a Car Hire with Kids Makes Travel Sense
At first glance a car rental seems like parental suicide. My kids and me trapped in a car for several days rather than flying from Sydney to the Gold Coast. No thank you! However, renting a car gives a parent that all important and illusive quality: control! Hungry? Diaper change? Need to run around? Just pull off at any number of the roadside cafes and let your family join the Australian families on holiday. Small moments like these are the moments that make travel memories. There is nothing better than seeing your son running madly after a cute little Australian girl exactly his age at a caravan park.
