PawParazzi! Review- Plus a Contest!

With Valentines Day just past, I feel the need to spread some love! Don’t you? So I thought, what is more lovable then cute and cuddly puppies and kitties? And of course, some of the cutest pets (besides Super Chaac, of course!) come from Pawparazzi! Pawparazzi has some new puppies and kitties out now- as if their last collection weren’t cute enough! These cute little pets come with their own wardrobe and accessories, and you get a little bag to carry them all in. (A very fancy bag, so the preschool says!)
Little man chose to review Cooper. (Now, I know some of you think that Pawparazzi must be only for girls. First- you know I don’t go in for “boy only” or “girl only” toys. I think kids can play with whatever suits them, as long as it is not violent or harmful. Second- No way, Jose! Cooper came with a blue bag, which the girls called a “purse”, and the boys called a “beach bag”. Cooper is a fur-buddy for everybody!)

Little Man has had Cooper for a while now, and I can tell you that Cooper is going into Little Man’s “Toy Hall of Fame”. You guys know that there have been several toys which Little Man has consistently stuck with and gone back to, no matter how much time or how many holidays have gone by. Cooper is going to be one of them. Little rarely puts Cooper down, and while we stopped bringing him into the Pre-K with us (one of the kids lost Cooper’s slippers! Little was so sad. Another kid had the audacity to touch Cooper with sticky-jelly hands- and now he has a little stain, so Little Man lost his mind! LOL, poor Little Man!) but he takes the drive nearly every day with us. Cooper just hangs out all day in the car seat, in his little bag with all his fun accessories, and waits until Little Man gets out of school to play with him again. It’s just safer for Cooper in the car then at the Pre-K (come on, you’ve all [Read more…]

Cold Stone Creamery- CONTEST!!!

Who loves ice cream? Me too! Yeah yeah, so it’s 20 below outside- but that is not going to stop this lady from going at the ice cream! For me, ice cream is one of those “gotta have it” foods that I even eat (in moderation, of course!) while watching my weight- because sometimes you really just need to let yourself indulge in those little pleasures in life! You all know I am dieting right now, but a little fabulous ice cream is not going to kill me. (It didn’t! I’m still alive, and still losing weight!)

Cold Stone Creamery has some pretty cool stuff! From cakes to ice cream, their fantastic-ness is really unlimited. If you can think of it, chances are really good they will have it (and make it for you!) at Cold Stone Creamery.
Have you been? If you haven’t, then you should really find one near you and head on over. They let you choose the flavor of ice cream that you want, and then you choose if you would like “mix ins” (anything from candy to sprinkles to marshmallows) they just- well, they mix it in! LOL

And the cakes! Oy! So good. You can call ahead to customize any kind that you want, and they also have an awesome “ready to go” section that are waiting for you when you arrive!
We ended up reviewing the Cake Batter Confetti cake, because they were all out of the cuper cool Chocolate Loves Strawberry Valentine’s Day cakes that they had for Valentines Day- bummer! But, don’t worry- the cake was super fab!
It had red velvet cake and cake batter ice cream- and of course rainbow sprinkles!

My husband and his friend ate the entire other half of it (for real, half of it) the day after, LOL.
So, I think it’s safe to say they liked it?
The mix of ice cream and cake is interesting. Usually you get one or the other- or you can put the ice cream on top of the cake at [Read more…]

Baby GoGo- A Fabulous Contest for you!

Valentine’s Day is coming, and I think we need to spread the LOVE! I think you all know how much I love Baby GoGo. That is not a secret! I have done a few posts and updates on this cute little baby doll.
Gender neutral and adorable (as well as being the perfect size for a little one to carry around!) Baby GoGo is our favorite doll to date. We reviewed Baby GoGo a few months ago, and I am going to re-post part of my review here (for any new followers, and just to refresh your memories!) But- I have gotten to see Baby GoGo in action at the Chicago Toy and Came Fair (where even Darth Vader was a fan!) and I will have some updated photos for you at the bottom of the post.

This cute baby doll, Baby GoGo, was initially created for the preparation of a younger sibling about to join the family. That in itself is a really good idea- our older children will certainly have some feelings regarding a new member of the family, and helping them learn about babies, how they will come home, what being a big sibling will be like, where mommy will go to have the baby, etc will all go a long way in making them feel included in the process.

Baby GoGo is also gender neutral, which means that it is made for either boys or girls. I can’t stand it when people cringe or judge a boy for wanting to play with a doll or other “girls toys”. There should be no classification between “boy’s toys” and “girl’s toys”- if someone told my daughter she couldn’t play with a football or a truck, I think I would lose it! I feel the same way about macho attitudes about boys playing with a doll. We want our sons to grow up and be good men, loving husbands, kind fathers, involved in the lives of their children- yet some cringe at the nurturing aspects of our son’s behavior, and would deny them the chance to grow and express these emotions and instincts.

About a year ago, Little Man wanted a doll and carriage. We found him an all blue doll after quite a search, ordered online. His uncle made him a stroller, then found a gray carrier when he was out of state and got it for him (he has a good uncle!) I gave him a black diaper bag I had- it’s too big for him to really carry around, but he likes to play with it. It’s hard to find stuff for a sweet little boy who wants to play daddy! (Remember Baby GoGo [Read more…]

Reeds Natural Soda Review

Who loves being nauseous? Anyone? Not I! As a migraine sufferer, one of the things that can be the worst is the nausea that accompanies them. Reeds RX Natural Soda is made to combat nausea naturally. It is even safe for pregnant women (oh where were you 4 years ago, Reeds RX?) and children.
As luck would have it (or not! LOL) the day that the Reeds RX came, I was having an horrific migraine. I was vomiting, I was shaking, the whole 9 yards. I was laying in the bathroom on the floor when my husband came in to tell me I got a package. I’m thinking- and I care because why? He sits there, telling me what mail came, blah blah blah- I was too sick to tell him to be quiet and go away- and then he tells me that the package has Red Bull in it. I’m thinking “What? Red Bull?”
And he tells me, “oh, no- wait- it says Reeds Natural something, I don’t know, anyway”…
I shot my hand out and told him to give me one. He thought I was losing my mind, but I just left my hand out, so he gave it to me. (They do look a bit like Red Bull cans, haha)
The taste was terrible to me, I’m not going to lie. And it coated my whole mouth, tongue, and throat. I didn’t finish even half the can, just a few sips.
But- I felt better. And I stopped throwing up after about 20 minutes.
OKOK, I thought it was a fluke.
So, I left a can at work, and the rest at home. Two days ago, it was coming on. Migraine, complete with nausea. Took my meds. Nothing, it’s still coming, [Read more…]

Dinosaur Train Pajamas!

Did you know that Dinosaur Train is now making Pajamas? These adorable little footed PJ’s are now available at Kohls, and they are just too cute! Super soft, these adorable one-piece pajamas are sure to please any fan of the popular educational PBS series. (Did you see the latest episode, โ€œThe Good Mom;โ€ โ€œDiamond Anniversary,โ€? How cute was that?) It is one of Little Man’s favorite shows, and when he saw the Dinosaur Train fantastic footed pajamas, he about lost this mind! He had to try them on no, Now, NOW!!! So, we put them on right away. They were a little big on him- he was tripping on the feet- so he slept with it like an extra blankie, LOL. The next day, I had [Read more…]

Spike Spices- Review and Contest!

As many of you know, I don’t love to cook. Sorry, I just don’t. I know, I’m a bad Italian! ๐Ÿ™‚ But my husband LOVES to cook, so Yippee for that one, LOL. We got to try out this cool bunch of spices from Spike. Spike makes all sorts [Read more…]

Disney’s Princess Wishes on Ice- my review

What a great, great show this was! Honestly, I didn’t think I would say it, but it is definitely as good as Toy Story 3 on Ice! It was really magical- and I know that is incredibly corny to say, but it was! LOL. I felt like a little kid. Feld Entertainment, the producers of Princess Wishes, did a fabulous job putting this show together. They used most of the Disney Princesses for the show, and added Tinkerbell, Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy for good measure!
The stories were a bit “cut up”, but they kind of have to be to fit for time. (Can you imagine trying to put 6 Princess Movies on ice? We would have been there all night!) They were very simplified versions of the kid’s favorite parts of the movies.
But by “very simplified” I only mean the plot was made more simple and short- I do NOT mean that she show was simple, at all! The show was spectacular! I am almost ready to go back again, LOL. It was amazing, and will not disappoint. Little Man was amazed! While your little Princess will certainly be enchanted- make no mistake, so will your little Prince! Who doesn’t love a dancing sea crew, or a sea captain (Prince Eric) who swings in from the rafters on a rope? That’s swashbuckling fun for anyone! Can I tell you- the sea crew men were doing flips- FLIPS!- all over the place! They had a platform, and they would climb onto it, and jump down onto a teeter-totter type board, flipping the man on the other end straight into the air! Once, they did this and caught him in a chair high above them all. It was nuts. Everyone (even the adults) were gasping and oohing and ahhing.
Tinkerbell, who appeared between acts and at the beginning of the show, was (energetic? enthusiastic?) completely spastic, LOL, as any good Tinkerbell should be. I must have been in quite “a mood”, because I found the whole thing really, really funny. It was cracking me up. There were so many little girls dressed up as Tinkerbell last night- I think Tink may have outnumbered [Read more…]

Zarbees Cough Syrup Review (and a coupon!)

ZarBees All Natural Children’s Cough Syrup has a long name, but it’s one worth remembering.
It’s safe for kids ages 2 and up- and you know most medicine is not recommended for kids under 4. No, now it’s 6. Soon it will be no medicine for kids under 18, good grief! ๐Ÿ™‚
But ZarBees is available for your child over the age of 1 year. THANK GOODNESS! And it’s also all natural, which is such an added bonus. Who wants to put all sorts of chemicals into their kids if you really don’t need to?
Little Man likes the flavor, and he never gives me any problem taking it. He also likes the bee on the bottle- he thinks it’s “cutie” (his word).
A little bit about ZarBees All Natural Children’s Cough Syrup
