With the holiday season in full swing and Black Friday well behind us, it is time to shop. Shopping is what Americans have done in the years past and will do this time of year for years to come. The real feat is coming up with great gifts for all, AND having enough left over to actually pay your bills for the rest of the year. This difficult juggling act is done using coupons, sales, and smarts. Some of the best stores for this are Target and Zulilly. Both of which have great deals to begin with but with the extra [Read more…]
Top 5 Tips for Potty Training Success
You always want those baby-raising milestones to be as fun and effortless as they seem on your favorite mommy blogs, but there’s nothing particularly fun (and certainly not effortless) about potty training. It’s a complicated process that can take months or even years to come to fruition. There are stops and starts, tantrums and successes, battles and the occasional total breakdown. While all is in service to your little one taking another step forward in his growth and development (and of course ridding your life of diapers as quickly as possible), you must roll with the punches and not expect perfection. Yet there are ways to improve your chances of avoiding a trip to the mental health ward. Here are five of the top tips for potty training success.
First of all, you must be consistent. Once the process begins you cannot give up, no matter how frustrating it has been. Create a timeline for trips to the bathroom and stick with it. Even if you are setting your child down on the training toilet every twenty minutes to ‘try’, consistency is key. You’ll have more failures than successes, but it will help your child develop an understanding of when he needs to go. And recognizing the need is just as important as a successful toilet trip.
You also cannot be afraid to tell some white lies. While your child’s toilet deposits aren’t actually feeding the fish or traveling to some magic fairy land where they transform into golden bricks used to build princess castles, there’s no harm in telling your child these things. Whatever gets them excited about the process is a positive, and you’re not a terrible mom for pulling the wool over their eyes, no more than when you share stories about the Tooth Fairy or Santa Claus. Some day they will go to the toilet on their own, but you have to do whatever is necessary to get them moving in the right direction.

Home Made Meals- Quick and Easy Tips
There’s nothing more important than preparing meals that are loaded with nutritional value in order to keep your family happy and healthy. Indeed, the importance of nutrition cannot be overemphasized, as proper eating can help to lower the chances of heart disease, high blood pressure and other issues. Making nutritious meals can be extremely time-consuming, however, which can be discouraging for parents who are exceptionally busy and simply don’t have the time to put into the cooking process.
By taking the right steps, you can still make high-quality meals without having to sacrifice a great deal of time in doing so. Consider the following tips, each of which can make it easier for you to prepare a meal quickly.

One way to keep this issue at bay is to prep all of your ingredients ahead of time, keeping them in small [Read more…]
Alternative Christmas Traditions From Across The World
In England, we’re all fully aware of how our nation likes to traditionally celebrate
Christmas. And, although each family may have their own variations on what
they like to do for the big day, us Brits all tend to follow the same routine; we all
decorate a Christmas tree, we all give presents, we all pull crackers and wear
those silly paper hats, and we all tend to eat some form of roast dinner.
But, have we ever taken time to think about how other nations celebrate the
festive period? Surely all other countries across the world celebrate Christmas in
exactly the same way as us, right? Well, we’d be wrong. Because, just like us,
individual nations have their own individuals traditions on how they like to
celebrate the birth of Jesus.

countries and communities’ from around the world will be celebrating Christmas
this year:
1. United States of America
In England, its tradition to leave Santa a little glass of sherry and his reindeer a
few carrots whilst they stop off at our homes to deliver our presents. But, in
America, their tradition is to ditch the carrots and sherry, and leave out a tray of
cookies and a glass of milk for Santa and his little helpers, instead. And, if Santa
stops off at houses where the children have been naughty rather than nice, he’ll
leave them nothing but coal in their Christmas stockings!
