Champions for Kids – Make a Simple Snack Pack Shop #Cbias #AbbottCFK

Earlier we took our Abbott shopping trip as we discussed in an earlier post. We decided to grab some Abbott nutritional products including: PediaSure and PediaSure Sidekicks.

Our trip begins where most days begin- on the computer. This time looking for coupons and specials. After a few searches we found a few coupons and our adventure continues. The trip to Walmart was pretty uneventful, you know how car rides go, either they are good or not so good. This one was pretty good, it was well after nap time so everyone was well rested.

When we first arrived at Walmart, we went for or main objective- the Abbott items. They were not so easy to find, and we could not find the bars at all. Of course, no employees wanted to be helpful! LOL When at last we found them, there were lots of flavors to pick from- but they were running very low on chocolate- only two left. After [Read more…]

Training My New Dog Update! #CBias #iLoveMyK9

Last time we went shopping for new treats and now its time to find out how this training is working out.
Well first of all, Leela hasn’t gotten out of the yard in a while. She is still a work in progress. She is picking up on some new basic commands like leave it, wait, come, and in. She already had a few down but needed some obedience training in general and some listening training with the kids. The kids work with her as often as the adults do, and you can tell, she is doing better with listening to the kids. And she really loves the Milk-Bone

Nuclear CowBoyz- a show that’s not your average fare

Looking for something a little different? Maybe something a with a little more volume, more power, more….fire? Let me suggest to you Nuclear Cowboyz– a show that will not leave you wanting. You want to get pumped, see some action, and be blown away by incredible stunts! Who needs yet another night watching some junk movie or TV show when you can experience it LIVE- Nuclear Cowboyz!

Not cowboys in the traditional sense- but more like urban cowboys. Let me tell you, these bikers don’t mess around- they know their way around the ring.
This amazing cast of performers and athletes work to put on a show that will blow your mind- and if that were not enough, the pyrotechnics sure will! Accompanied by the lovely lady Cowgirlz, this is a show for all the senses, complete with pulse pumping rock music, lasers, and flames blasting the air.

Become drawn in to a turn war between two rival bike tribes- the Metal Mulisha and the Soldiers of Havoc- who are returning to this event, staged in Los Angeles in 2150. If the never ending battle for supremacy is not enough action for you, then the entrance of the evil (though enticing) Tempest and her Cyborg Army will keep you on the edge of your seats. Who will reign and rule the city? The tribes fight to stay free, but are forced to make an unlikely alliance in order to attempt to defeat this siren.

Watch gravity defying stunts, [Read more…]

Little Toot Dolphin Sighting Boat Tour in Clearwater, Florida

Little Toot is an adorable dolphin adventure, perfect for couples or families. If you are in the Clearwater, Florida area and you are looking for a great way to spend a couple of hours, I can’t recommend Little Toot Dolphin Adventure enough!

Little Toot is a small dolphin sightseeing boat tour in Clearwater, Florida.
The Little Toot is the only Dolphin boat that can go into the shallows as well as the Gulf to ensure more Dolphin sightings and closer Dolphin contact. GUARANTEED to see dolphins or your next trip is FREE! Plus, since it has a “tug boat” quality, they can create waves that the dolphins like to play in.

My kids had so much fun. Not only was the boat itself just too cute (nothing ordinary, it looks like a little tugboat right out of a children’s storybook) but the crew was as nice as can be. There were passengers of all ages aboard, and nothing was overlooked, from comfort (there was a place to purchase drinks and snacks and the seats were shaded- Florida is HOT!) to safety. Don’t worry about a thing- just enjoy the ride, and find yourself a dolphin or two!

The scenery was lovely as we sailed along- seeing [Read more…]

Winchell Mountain Coffee- For Valentines Day! W!N Yours Here!

Coffee is a must in our house. We didn’t actually realize it until we ran out not too long ago. We have never been a family to make a pot of coffee in the morning when we wake up. But every few days a pot of coffee is made and we, mom and dad, enjoy it. Then one day we ran out. It had been a week without coffee when we realized coffee was needed. So now we always have it around.

There is a great coffee company out there, Winchell Mountain coffee. Winchell is special because each blend is created by master roaster Bob Rivkin. Who creates some wonderfully aromatic and delicious blends.
Recently Mr, Rivkin began working with Sandra Boynton to create some wonderful blends with Ms. Boynton’s illustrations gracing the packages.

We have tried a few and they are phenomenal. The blends we tried were : Country Morning, Wide Awake, Beach Blend, and [Read more…]

Major Benefits of Learning a Second Language Early

Global communication has grown increasingly easier and more important, thanks to the advent of
technology. Americans, who traditionally lag behind the rest of the world when it comes to the number
of languages they can read or speak fluently, could benefit strongly by learning at least one other
language. And since children learn languages quickly and more easily than adults, teaching them at a
young age seems to make the most sense. Here are a few of the benefits of starting them out at an
earlier age:

Understanding different cultures. If Americans want to continue to compete in the global market,
future generations are going to be forced to understand not only the languages of other countries, but
at least a surface knowledge of the cultures represented therein as well. And it isn’t just capitalism that
drives people to communicate. Understanding and being able to speak the language of another culture
is an important way to build a bridge that connects people and can lead them to strive for social justice,
especially for the downtrodden in foreign countries.

First language. Learning the verb structures and vocabulary of a foreign language, particularly other
Romance languages such as French or Spanish, is an excellent way of improving your child’s English
reading and writing skills. A child studying the mechanics of another language will develop a greater
understanding for the similar mechanics of English. As an added bonus, they will undoubtedly increase
their own vocabulary and develop more advanced reading abilities.

Higher education. Colleges and universities place a heavy emphasis on learning a second language. A
child who enters high school with a background [Read more…]
