Thunder, thunder, thundercats- ho ho ho!!!

There is an absolutely awesome Lion-O action figure/statue/work of art over at Think Geek. Or Think-eek as Little Man calls it. Lion-O measures 14.5 inches tall, has the Sword of Omens both in short sword form and fully extended form, as well as his Claw Shield/ gauntlet. Lion-O is a high quality vinyl figure who is cast in stunning detail. He is perfect for any fan of the 80’s show or the current one. By the way, the current series is awesome and gets my seal of approval as does this Lino-O figure. This would look prefect on a shelf or is great fun to play with for kids of any age. Little Man loves it because he is a big toy, and of course, it’s Lion-O.

A Hole In My Heart

Disclosure- When Daddy saw this come out of the box, he freaked out. He played with it before Little Man did- and this review was commandeered by Daddy. Take it away!

Who here wants to be James Bond? OK maybe not James Bond, he was a bit too ‘giving’ with the ladies. Tsk, tsk!!! Maybe some John Steed and Emma Peel? Or Maxwell Smart?
Well, the first step toward being a good secret agent is a hide out.

Playmobil has a new Secret Agent Headquarters with Alarm System play set which has it all. Firstly it is built into the side of a mountain, so the location is perfect. It includes a wide screen led map screen, for planning your missions, trapdoors, jet skis and even some all terrain vehicles including a jet car! The headquarters is the perfect secret agent hide out. What is so very important to be a secret agent? Equipment! This play set has tons of equipment for your secret agents’ adventures. Lastly we need some agents! The play set includes four agents and one double agent with an interchangeable face.

This play set is really cool and as with all Playmobil play sets, your other Playmobil toys are interchangeable so the cowboys could ride the jet ski and bring their stead with them. There is also the option of getting the aquatic motor for the jet ski to bring the action up a notch in the bathtub.

You may be asking yourself what is the alarm system? The alarm system is a way to protect the kids room from evil agents. Not only the play set rooms but also your little ones room. This little touch brings a new dimension to playing. Takes playing spy one step further then just figured and a play set and brings about more role playing as an agent in their secret lair or just your little one in their bedroom.

Travel as a Couple- Leave the kids at home!

I’d never suggest writing family vacations off all-together, as you all know, I think that it is very important to take time out as a family, and for changes of scenery. Travel for kids is character building, teaches them awareness, culture, opens them up to a world of things that hanging out in your own town just won’t do- but I cover all this regularly, yes?

With all that said- it’s so important to take time as a couple and recharge your batteries and your marriage every now and again. After all- you were a couple before you were a family, right? With divorce rates climbing, and the stress of daily life and raising a family- sometimes, a few days alone together is all you need to remind yourselves why you fell in love with each other in the first place.

Innotab by VTech- a Holiday Must-Have!

One of the hottest toys or gifts this holiday season are tablets. VTech has decided adults aren’t the only ones who could benefit from this budding technology. The Innotab is the newest VTech educational toy. VTech have an entire line of childrens learning products, and have specialized to this field for quite some time, so you know a tablet made by VTech for kids will be of good quality. Not to mention, then the kids will leave yours alone! Hooray!

This tablet first of all NEEDS an SD card. If you plan on buying, this also pick up an SD card- 1GB -2GB is fine, any brand will do. Just make sure you grab it. In order to save anything on the Innotab, you MUST have one in the machine. This is not a big deal if you are aware of it and they run for pretty cheap (less than $10). No worries!
