Look Fab in New Sunglasses! Review and Contest

I need to wear sunglasses when I drive. I get terrible migraines, and when the sun gets in my eyes and I already have a blinding headache, it is a very bad combination! A few weeks ago, my husband dropped my sunglasses onto the floor of my car and stepped on them. It was an accident, of course, but I was not happy! I didn’t have a spare pair, and I have a seriously hard time finding a pair that I like that is dark, but not too dark, and is big enough to cover up my whole eye and surrounding area so no light gets in. Plus, I don’t want to look like a COMPLETE weirdo, LOL. And I don’t want to spend a whole lot. So, while I am not normally hard to please, I am VERY hard to please when it comes to sunglasses. It is not an easy task!
Want to hear something interesting? That night, I got an email to review a pair of sunglasses from Sunglass Replicas.com . Odd, right? They have a huge selection, and the best part? Once you find frames you like, you can pick the color of the frame AND lenses- so I can get a dark pair that are not completely blackout! I took my time on the website- like I said, I’m picky! LOL. And I came up with these “Thick Retro with stripe” sunglasses.

They are pretty close to my other, recently deceased pair. They are a little “blingy”, but I guess I will just have to come to terms with fashion one of these days, won’t I?
I am told that these are a pretty good imitation of Dolce and Gabbana! I have a few fashion-y friends and co-workers, and they gave me numerous compliments on my new shades, LOL.

Coldcam Homeopathic Medicine Review and Contest!

Boiron, makers of great homeopathic medicines, recently sent me Children’s Coldcam to try out. I didn’t review it right away, because I actually wanted to use it and see how it worked, LOL.
The Coldcam comes in a little tube about the size of a chapstick- in fact, it is in the bag next to a Burt’s Bees chapstick, and I often mistakenly grab it when I am looking for the chap stick, LOL.
When you take the top off, you turn it to take out tiny little balls or pellets of medicine. They taste like sugar-water to me. Here is what Boiron has to say about Childrens Coldcam

Children 3 years of age and older: At the onset of cold symptoms, take 5 pellets every 20 minutes for 1 hour. Then take 5 pellets every 2 hours until symptoms are relieved. Allow the pellets to dissolve in the mouth.

Power Capes- Contest!

Ah, cold and flu season. We all know it! Have had it, maybe have it now? (Wish it would go away and never come back, taking it’s lovely friends “mucus” and “congestion” with it?) Total Fitness DVDs- Review and Contest

OK, so it’s January. How is that New Years Resolution going? Have you found a fitness product or workout routine that you love? Variety, I believe, really is the spice of life. I like have different things to do on a regular basis, and that includes my exercise routine. If you are bored with yours, want to add in a little something for variety, or just want to try something new (or maybe get going on that resolution!) – do I know where you should look!
Total Fitness DVDs has a little bit of everything- which translates into something for everyone! (Yes, even you) There are so many fitness options, it’s nuts! Trying to narrow down what to try is both fun and a bit mind-boggling, LOL. (And they have a good promotional even going on right now, too!)

But I did find a fun one! Anyone who wants to try a fun workout, that is interesting, different, and something you will look forward to doing- this is one for you! I love Pure Barre Pershing Square 2 DVD, by Carrie Rezabek. Total Fitness DVDs has some really fun and interesting workout options- I have never heard of this one!- and when I got the chance to do a review of Pure Barre, I was super excited! I am not graceful, I am not (and never have been!) a dancer or enrolled in a dance or gymnastics class.
And, let me state this- IT IS REALLY HARD! Not because you need fantastic dance moves, or hard in the way that you will not want to do it, but it will definitely make you work. Like- the next day? I was sore in places I didn’t remember that I had, and I found myself muttering unkind things at the instructor under my breath as I went through the routine (hehehe). I also must confess- I didn’t make it all the way through the first time. But you know, I kept at it- and I did get though it after the third try. I am not going to hurt myself or kill myself over losing weight or getting “fit”- you can’t get fit if you can’t move, LOL!
I’m not in the best shape (I used to be a competitive athlete, and I was a paid model at one point long ago and far away!) but I know I can get there. Pure Barre definitely made me work- but isn’t that it’s “job”?
I do really like it. I posted a few times on Facebook and Twitter about how it is going- and if you are followers there, you know that I’m loving it! It’s hard, but so far it has been one of my favorites. I also Bookmarked “Total Fitness DVDs” for future use- they have such a great selection, and I know I am going to want to shop there the next time that I am on the lookout for a new “something” to get me moving!

Toggle Bandz, review and contest!

Toggle Bandz were thought up by a stay at home military wife, who was frustrated by so many headbands falling out of her daughter’s very fine hair. She decided to put a toggle (like at the end of a coat) on the end of a ribbon. They come in lots of sizes and colors, with many design options to choose from. Some are thin, some are thick.
I didn’t like them in my own daughter’s hair, because her hair is super short, and you can see the toggle in the back. And the ribbon was so much longer then her hair, so it looked funny. Kamikaze also has super fine, thin hair, so I can understand the maker of Toggle Bandz‘s frustration! It did stay in my hair, though- this is me, with one of the thicker Toggle Bandz in my hair.

Plow and Hearth Contest! Win a 50$ Gift card

My husband sleeps really, really well. He’s a FABULOUS sleeper! Right through the night, every night. Heavy, too. Nothing wakes him. Kid crying, dog vomiting, me going into labor….you name it- he sleeps through it!
The problem? I DON’T!
He is such a loud snore-er! I really hate sleeping in the same bed as him sometimes- I love the man, but good grief- I need some sleep!
We have tried everything- Neti Pot to clear out his passages (which helps WHEN HE USES IT, haha), one of those snore-mouth-guard things, etc. When I saw this Sleep Wedge in the Plow and Hearth E-catalog, I had to try it!

By the way- how much do you love those E-catalogs? I really like that the whole catalog is available online, and that you can flip through it, just like the paper version.

The downside is, that you can’t snuggle with the person on the wedge, because they are higher up then you are, LOL. But, you can always get two of them, then you can both breathe well and still have snuggle time! 🙂
