What, pray tell, is a Wummelbox?

A Wummelbox is a subscription based craft box delivery service. Each box set has a theme which ties it together. Some of which are nutrition, music, color and light. The projects included in each box are made to help develop creative thinking, language, expression of feelings, movement and following directions.

Using natural items like sand, cork, reforested wood, and even the packaging itself these boxes are recycled, natural and reusable. My son loves the new series Mike the Knight, on Nick Jr. In truth, he likes the dragons and Trollee better then Mike, but hey. He also likes Evie’s (Mike’s sister) pet frog, who jumps around as frogs do and once pretend to be a monster. Meet Me at @SesamePlace #ThemePark

One of my son’s highlights has been his recent trip to Sesame Place in Buck’s County, PA. I grew up with Sesame Street, and as a teacher I love the educational, social, and cultural values it helps to instill. As a parent- I love it, too! There are versions of Sesame Street all over the world- from Russia to Mexico. Something about knowing that this sweet, educational show unites kids globally (literally) really touches me- and even more so now that I myself am a mom, teacher, and travel enthusiast. You can’t see the world until you go out and experience it- start young, and make a little global citizen. But I digress!

We had so much fun at the theme park, there are all sorts of fun rides- and for once, they are ALL aimed at little ones.

What you might not realize is that you actually have several options when it comes to reducing the trauma your kids undergo when they have to get shots. Whether you have infants, toddlers, or school-age children, your offspring look to you for comfort and support. Just having you near is often enough to calm and soothe them.
