Guess How Much I Love You (new line of toys)

My little boy loves his stuffed animals.  He also loves the book, “Guess How Much I Love You”, which we have been reading to him since he was a baby.  The modern classic, which was written in 1994 by British author Sam McBratney and illustrated by Anita Jeram has sold more then 28 million copies- so if you have read it to your little love, you are not alone.

My son has prints of the storybook on his wall in his bedroom, he loves the story so.  He and I often tell each other we love each other to the moon and back, and he likes to stretch his arms to see if they will go wider then mine.  When Kids Preferred came out with the new line of toys from the beloved book, he was thrilled.

A Soft, Cuddly Bunny To Love

Cruise and products 064

What child doesn’t love a soft toy?  My son loves stuffed animals, they are one of his favorite toys.  One of the latest stuffed toys he has gotten is Baby Bo, the stuffed bunny from Ragtales.  The perfect size for little hands, he is soft and snuggly, with no buttons or eyes that will come loose and choke a child.  His eyes are sewn on, and he is adorable in every way.  Delivered in his own box, he is presented like a gift and will delight the child that gets to open him.

Baby Bo is made in the same gorgeous fur, has a weighted torso and comes with an embroidered identification patch on the sole of the paw. Baby Bo comes in a beautiful presentation box.” (Via Ragtales)

Why You Should Travel With a PaddlePak

product and nutrisistem 009

We travel a lot.  My son loves to take his own backpack with him, although it usually ends up being carried by mommy. The first good thing about this backpack is that he likes to carry it- the Paddlepak Backpacks are adorable and lightweight.  The next most awesome thing about them is that they are water resistant- so when junior or the little miss spills all over it in the car or plane, the inside contents are safe.

We have recently taken several trips with the PaddlePak backpacks, and will be using them as often as possible.  My son used his backpack at the pool, the beach, and island hopping on a Caribbean cruise.  The packs weathered the use with no problems, and did well on the plane and boat rides as well to carry snacks and toys.

While I think these bags are perfect for beach and pool use, they are great for everyday travel as well.  Going to grandma’s?  Taking a road trip?  Maybe just going to the mall and need something to play with with someone has a try on party.  Pack up a few things into the Paddlepak, and move along.  There is room in the tails of the packs to store “treasures” like rocks and shells, or even your room card.  Kids love to put “stuff in stuff'” as we all well know, and it’s easy to find in the tail.  If your child still uses a pacifier, there is a spot on the padded shoulder straps to connect it to as well so you won’t lose it (how gross, finding it on an airport or restaurant floor!)

Aveeno Daily Challenge and Taking Time for Me

Disclosure- I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Aveeno. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for participating.

For the past three weeks, I have been participating in the Aveeno Daily Challenge.  That means I have been using the Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion and taking time for me every day, because a better me is a better mom as well.  I made sure I took time out of each day to either meditate (which I need to get better at, I can’t stay still and “calm” long at this point, but I’m trying!) or took a walk by myself every day.  It does help to take just a few minutes for yourself- as a woman and a mother, I think we all feel guilty on even a second we spend on ourselves, but it’s needed.  We are better for ourselves, our families, and our work as well for it.

As an avid traveler, I am always in need of a good swimsuit.  Getting a good suit that wears well and that supports me in all the right places is not easy- my chest is larger then most, and it makes shopping for swimwear hard (as well as keeping the ladies covered and inside the suit). I was very excited to receive my new swimsuit from Hapari, which did a great job at keeping me covered.

WIN a Sprint Phone- I’m a Sprint Ambassador

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Sprint. I will receive a product sample to facilitate my review and to thank me for participating.

sprint

As you can see from the topic of this post I was recently accepted as a Sprint Ambassador.

In doing so, I get to share some of the awesome Sprint tech and services available with you my wonderful readers.  Today we will be looking at the Sprint Framily Plan and be sure to stick around there’s a contest for an HTC One max smartphone.

The Sprint Framily plan works in a novel way, you and up to 10 friends/family/co-workers, pretty much any cell phone users can sign up together and get a stellar plan at a stellar price. The way the Framily plan works is each user has unlimited talk, unlimited text ad 1GB of data each on the Sprint network.  Other perks are: each member receives a separate bill, AND there are no annual contracts or early termination fees.  As for the cost, the plan can cost as little as $25 a month when you have 7-10 members in your Framily group.  This could lead to some super savings for all involved.  I am sure you know at least 7 people who enjoy saving money and/or pay too much for their current cell phone plan.  As of now in our house we average $40 a month for our plans. I thought this was a great price but as usual with a little research better prices can be found and also on a more reliable network.

The New Michelin Premier A S Tires Might Just Be the Last Tires You Ever Buy #safetires

This post for the Michelin Premier a/s tires is not sponsored but my trip to their proving grounds in Greenville was.

So, it’s a big deal to get our drivers license, right? It takes hours of studying, a Drivers Ed class, hours of driving, etc. Then we are given a restricted license until we prove that we know enough of what we are doing to be driving after midnight. It’s a whole big thing and we start preparing at 15.

But what they don’t teach us in those classes is just as important as what they do teach.

tire pressure~ where to find it and how to check it

tire~ appropriate thread, tire safety 101, how to change a tire

lights~ how to change them

There are so many things that we should know how to do before we drive for the first time. The fact that there are only 4 little rubber things that keep our 2 ton vehicle connected to the road proves that tire safety is something we should know before we ever get behind the wheel.

I was recently asked by Michelin to come to their Proving Grounds in Greenville, SC to learn about their new Michelin Premier a/s tires. I am really excited to tell you about these tires but first, I want to share a little of what I learned. What stuck with me most was the little demonstration we did on where to put the new tires when you buy two new ones. We all know that it is best to buy full sets of tires, but we also know that life is life and sometimes we can only swing two new tires at a time. So, where do you put the new tires, front or back?

The old rule of thumb was that you put them on the front because *most* vehicles are front wheel drive. It was said that the new tires will give better traction if they’re in the front. However, the opposite is actually true. Michelin didn’t just tell us this, they let us test and prove it.

Toyota

We went to a wet track {simulated raining} and drive two identical cars around it. They were run-of-the-mill Toyota Camrys, one with the new tires on the front, and the other with the worn tires on the rear {as apparent by the ‘worn rear’ sign on the grey car.}

First, we drove the ‘new rear’ car with a professional in the passengers seat. They had us accelerate around the turns and pay attention to what we felt. Even though the worn tires were on the front, the car was much easier to control because you could feel the car start to skip through the steering wheel. That was the whole point of the exercise; the front wheels are directly connected to both the steering wheel and the road so the steering wheel is our direct line to the road. When your front tires start to slip, you know it because the steering wheel starts to shake.  Automatically, you let off the gas and correct your driving.

Next, we drove the ‘worn rear’ car. I knew before I got in that it was going to be a rough trip, but I was excited. I am all for a challenge that involves driving fast and spinning out! Any chance where driving like an idiot is actually encouraged, I’m all for!!

During this time around, we were told to accelerate through the turns again and before I knew it, I had done TWO FULL 360’s, ending up facing the way I was originally heading, with my arm across the steering wheel letting out a little beep as it pressed the horn.

It.

Was.

Awesome.

I was awesome.

As I sat there trying to stop my head from spinning, my professional asked me what I felt before I spun out and I told her “Nothing.”She said that what I did is exactly what happens when people are sitting dazed, in the middle of an accident and tell the police officer “I don’t know what happened.” It was so fast. There was no warning. And I would have taken out about 5 cars if I had been on the road.

Here is a video with an example of what I did. It’s not me driving but it’s still pretty cool to watch.
