Sending kids back to school is bound to get expensive and overwhelming at some point, and
with good reason. This year, tell those daunting back-to-school lists to surrender to
Super Moms everywhere by shopping with White Cloud.
I shop when things are on sale, getting my son's back to school list early and shopping for items when I see them on sale.  No point spending what you don't have to.

Summer Fun with Otter Pops #YouOtterKnow

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Jel Sert for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you ever heard of Otter Pops?  Otter Pops are currently only available in the WESTERN portion of the USA (California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming), but you can let your kids play on the website www.otterpopstars.com no matter where you live. There are so many fun Otter-themed characters for your kiddos to get to know. The charming Poncho Punch or history buff Alexander the Grape are fun to get to know, as are the sweet Strawberry Short Kook, jazzy Louie-Bloo Raspberry, Little Orphan Orange, and Sir Isaac Lime. With six zippy flavors, you'll never have to choose just one, but can choose your flavor to match your mood.  You can even Chat with the Otter Pop Stars with the kids if you like.

All Otter Pops are made with real fruit juice — some varieties have 100% fruit juice — and contain no major allergens – providing even more reasons to love your Otters and share them with those you love.

The Otters would love to inspire your child to be creative- to experiment with art, music, dance- any outlet that your child likes to express themselves.  It's summer, kids get bored- but you don't want them to end up stuck in front of the TV or mindless TV or video games all day long.  Get them thinking, active, creating- maybe Otter Pops can inspire them to create something fun  🙂

Be sure to like Otter Pops on Facebook and follow @OtterPops on Twitter to keep up with all the Otter Pops news and updates.  Have a great summer, and have fun creating (and eating %100 juice ice pops!) Otter Pops on Facebook

Airport Parking – The Parking Spot

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of The Parking Spot for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

It is Summer time and with Summer time comes traveling.  When going by plain, train or automobile there is one constant question.  Where are we going to park?

Most times this is easy, a parking lot of course.   But in the case of airport parking this can leave a big dent in your travel budget if you are not careful.  A local airport charges as much as $20/day which really adds up during those long holidays away from home.  Another option would be parking off site to the airport.  These establishments are usually within shuttle distance and about 5 minutes from the airport.  These establishments often cost almost half of much as the onsite airport parking with a few perks if you know where to look.

The Parking Spot is one of these establishments and right now they are running a special promotion, where you can receive   15% OFF PARKING at The Parking Spot .  This promotion is only available through Labor Day so please act quickly. and print this little beauty out now.

The Parking Spot is one of my favorite parking establishments for a few reasons.  I love their attention to details.  Upon check in you can receive a copy of USA Today to help pass the time at the airport. After a long day of flying with miniature portions of drinks at astronomical prices, a free bottle of water is availalbe when you leave.  It doesn't seem like much but that cold water is exactly what is needed after lugging around suitcases, carryon's,kids and spouses.

The Parking Spot offers shuttle service running at each airport and the representatives there are helpful and courteous as well.

june 17 2011 018The long-awaited summer season is here: Kids are out of school, store shelves are lined with grilling supplies, and the smell of sunscreen permeates the air. The sunny, warm weather provides ideal conditions for relaxing outdoors with friends and family.

June is National Home Safety Month, and the Electronic Security Association (ESA) offers these tips for safely enjoying fun-in-the-sun all summer long.

Grill Safely
According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), grilling is a major source of home fires during the summer months. Each year, there are nearly 8,300 home fires caused by gas, charcoal or solid-fueled grills. To ensure the results of your cookout are delicious, not disastrous, remember these tips:

  • Only light propane and charcoal grills in a well-ventilated outdoor area. All grills produce carbon monoxide, a tasteless and colorless gas that can be lethal when inhaled.
  • To prevent burns or accidents, keep three feet away from the grill.
  • Always read your grill’s manual before using. Each grill is different and may have unique operating instructions.
  • If you smell gas while cooking, immediately move away from the grill and call the fire [Read more…]

Damhorst Toys

I am always a big ‘ole sucker for items that are personalized. I must say that you absolutely can’t go wrong with any of the Name Puzzle Stools that Damhorst Toys has to offer. I received the Large Name Puzzle Stool and have been completely impressed.

About Damhorst Toys:

The Damhorst Toys company is currently owned by Kris Damhorst and his sister Megin Cassimatis. Their
parents, Don and Carol Damhorst, started making unique handmade wooden puzzles in 1971 for them as children. They observed how much those puzzles taught them perception, problem solving and patience. It was great for them to see how these toys gave them such a great sense of accomplishment.

Soon, many friends started asking for items to be made for them. A little while later, they started selling their toys and puzzles in St.Louis specialty shops. In the early 70’s, Don and Carol began exhibiting at Art & Craft fairs throughout the country, meeting other craftspeople and future customers.

In February of 1998, they moved the business out of their home and to a much larger shop in Hermann, Missouri. In 2004 Megin and Kris took over ownership full time.

The products are all sold direct. This is so that they can make sure [Read more…]
