Ready for Summer With Fresh Produce

When I’m looking for something easy to wear, I head for my Fresh Produce Harbor Dress. It’s become a favorite of mine, because it’s easy to dress up or down, it’s really comfortable, machine washable, and has pockets. The pockets don’t bulge out or make me look bulky in all the wrong places, which is a bonus. I often pass up dresses and skirts with pockets for that reason, but this pleasantly surprised me.

Fresh Produce makes some seriously soft clothes that wear well. I like to be comfortable, and am not one to sacrifice comfort for fashion. Why, when you can have both? Makes no sense to me. This dress is cute, fun, and feels nice- the material is smooth and supple, and didn’t pill after I put it in the washing machine. (I hung it to dry.)

IGIGI – Dress For Your Figure

I am forever looking for clothing that fits my body. I know that nearly every woman has her “problem area” that makes shopping a challenge, but for me, it’s a little different. I have dangerous curves. No matter what size I am, or what stage of my life I have been in, my chest gets in the way and my hips don’t lie- this girl is not made for many of the cuts put out by clothing designers. This means that many of the things I buy hang on me like drapes, and don’t show off the curves that I’d like to.

The biggest issue for me is my chest- which is (in a word) large. Shirts and dresses are tight, don’t button or zipper, or are pulled up higher then they should (or lower, showing off more then I’d like to) making them look odd. I usually have to go up a size or two, which can make me look heavier then I am, and I’ve never met the woman who wants to look larger then she is.

That’s the thing I love most about IGIGI- they make clothing for women with curves, bodies, and the average American woman. The “average” American woman is a size 14. So why can’t we find clothes when we go to the stores and malls? Not clothes that fit or flatter, anyway. Options are often limited, and many times what is offered makes you look like a couch you’d find in your grandmother’s living room. No thanks!

5 Ways to Save Money on Your Teen’s Prom Night Expenses

Unless your teen is the independent, responsible, and/or resourceful type, chances are good that you’re going to end up pitching in for prom night expenses, or even paying the tab in full. And this could end up costing you hundreds of dollars between tickets for the dance, a dress or tux, dinner out, a limo for the night, and perhaps a hotel room for the after party, if you happen to be an open-minded and lenient sort of parent. It’s almost as bad as those super sweet 16 parties you see on reality shows! Well, not quite that bad, but for the parent on a tight budget, paying for prom can be a stretch. Luckily, there are plenty of ways you can save money and still deliver the once-in-a-lifetime experience your teen will remember for the rest of his or her life. Here are a few tips and tricks to help you trim expenses.

Split the limo for the night. It doesn’t make sense for your teen to pay for a stretch limo for just him or her and a date. Instead, recommend splitting a large car with several other couples or even a big group if your teen and friends have decided to go as a group anyway. This way all of the parents can pitch in for a portion of the cost, saving each family a ton of dough.

Host a pre-game party at the house. Instead of sending the kids out for a fancy dinner, have them pre-game at your house, along with all their friends, with snacks, finger food, or anything that’s not going to spill on their fancy outfits. If you want to make it even more affordable, make it a potluck and invite the other parents as well. You can all snap pics of the kids and continue your own party once the teens leave for the prom. As for the after party, consider a slumber party in the basement or living room following the prom so there is some parental supervision and you can skip the cost of a hotel room (which teens aren’t really allowed to be in without a parent anyway).

IGIGI Dress For the Occasion

I love the dresses on the IGIGI website, they are cut to fit women with a chest. As many of you know, I often have a hard time fitting into clothes since my chest is…well, it’s larger then normal. However, the dresses not only come in plus size- but they are actually cut with room for your chest, no matter what size that may be.

IGIGI carries dresses in sizes 12 through 32 and specializes in interesting colors, flattering prints and great plus size silhouettes. They carry separates, tops, bottoms, accessories, jewelry, and coats as well to help round out your wardrobe.

Having a few fancy events to go to, I wanted something that would work with all of them. I loved the style of the Leigh Plus Size Lace Dress in Gold, which felt classic and modern at the same time. I love the lady-like look of the lace, as well.

Sexy and You Know It? Check Yourself Out in Fresh Produce

Yeah man, you know you have to flaunt it if you’ve got it. (And you know you’ve got it, bow-chicka-wow-wow! LOL) Fresh Produce is a fun clothing company that I recently discovered- and adore. It was actually enjoyable to shop and choose my favorite styles and colors, and when it arrived, I was not disappointed. I love to shop, but can do it for myself only rarely. When I get a new item, and it doesn’t meet my desire or it’s description, it is so very upsetting. Then I need to deal with the hassle of returns or exchanges, and deciding if I want to bother with the company again. I am glad to say that I love the dress, and my shopping experience as well.

I’m the type of person who won’t often sacrifice comfort for fashion. Except maybe some fab shoes now and again, LOL. It can be hard to shop for dresses and tops because I have a large chest, even when I wear a minimizer. I found that this dress was PERFECT with a little half top (like a bra-cover-up) underneath it.

Who doesn’t love some internet shopping? Today we are going to check out www.spiegel.com. Spiegel specializes in fashion for women, and online shopping made easy. Spiegel started out in 1905, with a catalog which included women’s clothing and furniture. After 20 years of meeting the mail order needs of America, Spiegel began to branch out into European fashion, becoming the first catalog to bring European fashion into American homes.
