I have very little in the way of fashion sense. For this reason, I try to keep it simple, all the time. This time of year, I take more photos then usual, which is quite a lot. I like to do our holiday cards with less posed, cornball “look what a perfect and happy family we are” photos and more real ones (because we are far from perfect- and I readily admit to that!) I also like to take one nice family photo every year, where we are all looking at the camera at the same time, hopefully with our eyes open. For this photo, I like us to look decent- and we loved our new shirts ordered just for the occasion from Kohl’s Holiday Collection.
This year, it was easy to look decent in our photos. I shopped at Kohl’s, where the prices are affordable and the clothing will last as well- even on my husband. My son wanted us all to wear blue for the photo (which worked out- I loved this Apt 9 crepe shirt), and he wanted us to all sit with Santa. Why not, right? We dressed in our new holiday clothes and headed over to Macy’s on Herald Square to check out the holiday window displays and visit Santa Claus.
Turns out, it would be a little harder then you would think to take photos with Santa. He took the day off, which was sort of uncool since the employee we spoke to gave us his hours for the day, LOL. But, we had a great time looking at the windows, visiting Santaland, and then took a walk over to FAO Schwarz as well. Why not? It’s Christmas time in the city, after all 🙂
My son looked so adorable in his little OshKosh B’gosh® Plaid Woven Shirt that he also wore it to do his pictures this weekend. Every year I have his done alone- and yes, I always have too many photos done of my son. We do them for his birthday, back to school, Easter, Christmas, and sometimes Halloween as well. Because his mother is a freak. Hush up. I like having photos to mail friends and relatives we don’t see often. These are some of the ones we did this weekend-
and here was the card I sent out for Christmas this year. Can you guess the theme? Bully for you if you can! Hint- I got the idea when the little guy and daddy started running around in circles in the revolving door…
If you need someplace to shop for cute clothes at a bargain price, head over to Kohl’s and check out their holiday collection. The prices are awesome, they have tons of variety, and they carry things for the home, decorating, toys, and even outdoor items. Side note- we had to exchange my husband’s shirt- I ordered online, and it was too small when he tried it on. It was so fast and easy to exchange it for a different shirt in the store, no problems or hassles at all. Kohl’s makes shopping so easy, you might just end up doing all your holiday shopping there.
I love Khols, I can always find clothes for my little one.
A Kohl’s FINALLY opened in our area at the end of September and I cannot wait to check out the great holiday outfits. That plaid shirt is so cute. Typically I shop there for kitchen gadgets and sheets, I don’t think I’ve ever been into the clothing department. About to change that soon!
totally worth it- they give great coupons as well- spend money, GET money- love it 🙂
I’m actually heading to Kohl’s sometime this week to shop. Cute clothes, cute kid.
thanks on both counts 🙂
How cute, I love that little plaid shirt!! Looks like you got some great clothes, and what fun pictures!!
I used to buy all my kids clothes at Kohls. They had such a great kids collection. Now they buy their own clothes and we don’t live near a Kohls anymore.
these are so adorable and cute! love the choices you made
