There are tons of clothing lines out their for kids. The trick is to find a favorite couple of lines and brands and stick with them. Make sure they are reasonably priced, long lasting, wear well, and available easily.With these simple outlines you are well on your way to a happy and fashionable childhood. One such line of clothing which is one of our favorites is Polarn O Pyret.

Polanrn O Pyret started with the simple mentality of “We make the best children’s clothes in the world.” They have backed this mentality for years and hopefully many more.

WE were given the opportunity to try out of os their rain ware including a rain coat, pants and boots. All of which performed quite well in our stress test or as some may know it a rainy day at school. The rainy days at school are usually attended by a plethora of children in rain garb but the real trick is to remember to bring home the coats and umbrellas once the sun pokes out. This is easy for Little Man in his new Polarn O Pyret rain outfit because he loves the bright colors and basic pattern. He is actually looking forward to the next down pour just to stomp around in the puddles.

Oshkosh B’gosh Spring Collection

Disclosure- I participated in an Influencer Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for OshKosh B’gosh. I received a gift card to facilitate my shopping trip and to thank me for participating.

OshKosh B’gosh have been around since 1895 starting business as overall manufacturers in OshKosh, Wisconsin for adults. Soon after they began making these same overalls a bit smaller for their customers’ children and the story began. Since then OshKosh have made quality children’s clothing and currently have stores across the country. As of now, OshKosh is showcasing their Spring collections of children’s clothes. There are brightly colored dresses, shorts and shoes for the little ladies. The Striped Shirts for boys and for the tiny ones in your life, prints and patterns to complement the little cuties at every stop.

At a recent shopping trip to the local OshKosh store, we were pleasantly surprised with the attentiveness of the staff. The staff was easy to find but not hovering too close. The quality and quantity of items available and the prices of the garments were wonderful as well. Shopping for Little Man was a breeze and we were able to get 3 pairs of pants, 2 shorts, 6 shirts, 1 sweatshirt, and 3 teddy bears, for $100.73. Is three teddy bears excessive? Yes, yes it is. But he could not decide which he wanted, and they were all quite inexpensive, so it was easy for me to cave in and make his day, LOL. Little Man loves warm snuggly clothing (anything fuzzy and soft) but also has an appreciation for anything with animals or super heroes on it. There was lots of soft and cuddly clothes and quite a few with animals, as well. The OshKosh baby section also had tons of adorable baby wear if you are looking.

Holiday Outfits Made Easy with Kohl’s

I have very little in the way of fashion sense. For this reason, I try to keep it simple, all the time. This time of year, I take more photos then usual, which is quite a lot. I like to do our holiday cards with less posed, cornball “look what a perfect and happy family we are” photos and more real ones (because we are far from perfect- and I readily admit to that!) I also like to take one nice family photo every year, where we are all looking at the camera at the same time, hopefully with our eyes open. For this photo, I like us to look decent- and we loved our new shirts ordered just for the occasion from Kohl’s Holiday Collection.

This year, it was easy to look decent in our photos. I shopped at Kohl’s, where the prices are affordable and the clothing will last as well- even on my husband. My son wanted us all to wear blue for the photo (which worked out- I loved this Apt 9 crepe shirt), and he wanted us to all sit with Santa. Why not, right? We dressed in our new holiday clothes and headed over to Macy’s on Herald Square to check out the holiday window displays and visit Santa Claus.

Turns out, it would be a little harder then you would think to take photos with Santa. He took the day off, which was sort of uncool since the employee we spoke to gave us his hours for the day, LOL. But, we had a great time looking at the windows, visiting Santaland, and then took a walk over to FAO Schwarz as well. Why not? It’s Christmas time in the city, after all 🙂

We always enjoy shopping at Cookies Kids. You can shop both online and in stores (if you are local to the NYC area) and enjoy great prices, great style, and an easy shopping experience. My son just started Kindergarten, and needless to say- his wardrobe needed some sprucing up.

My little guy has a uniform he needs to wear to school, and Cookies Kids specializes in kids school uniforms. They have tons of colors, styles, and brands available- our favorite is French Toast. He loves his new pants and sweater by French Toast that we got at Cookies Kids- in fact, we bought almost his entire wardrobe for back-to-school at Cookies Kids. Fast and easy online shopping, and we really do prefer French Toast, and all the things we needed at a great price, with free shipping available.

While we were there, we were able to try out the new AvaKids app- with an iPad available to use right in the store- that helps you choose the right size and items for your children, even as they grow.

AlvaKids is a service for children’s apparel sizing recommendations. The
app/widget allows users to create an account on the mobile application or through using
the widget on retailers’ websites. Once the account has been created, the user can
make a profile for their children. These profiles hold basic measurement information
as well as some background information about the child. All of this data is used by
the AlvaKids proprietary algorithm to create a personalized sizing recommendation.
Using the account credentials the profiles can be accessed through the mobile
application and the online widget.
