Sports Illustrated Kids wanted to share with you a few things that are being planted under their holiday tree.

SPORTS ILLUSTRATED Kids is THE magazine for boys and girls who love sports. The magazine presents sports the way kids want to read about them: with great action photos, easy-to-read stories about star athletes, helpful instructional tips from the pros, and humor, comics, and activities. SI Kids is a great way to encourage kids to read, and it has won highest honors from theAssociation of Educational Publishers and the Parents’ Choice Award.

Not only has SI Kids won awards, they also give them out! This month, they crowned their first ever “SportsParent of the Year.” With the help of parenting bloggers, the magazine received numerous nominations to honor dedicated sports parents from around the U.S.

Post-College Financial Decisions

Pretty soon a new year will be beginning and with a new year, there are new goals and wishes which we would all like to fulfill. One of the most hopeful groups of people should be those looking to graduate college soon. Be it this year or in a few years, it never hurts to plan ahead. This big leap from college can be frightening. A new apartment, a full time job/career beginning, loan payments, striking out and being independent can seem like a daunting task. But with a clear head and some creativity it will all fall into place and you will be striving and surviving just like an adult, and still be a kid at heart.

Ninja Turtles Toys from Nickelodeon #GiftGuide

I don’t know how nostalgic some of you are, but whenever a prized toy or show from my childhood is re-released, I can’t help but check it out. The most recent addition is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This time we learn a bit more about the young turtles. No longer are our heroes in a half shell seasoned ninja veterans, but instead they are young, and anxious for action- while still a bit wet behind the ears (turtles do have ears right?)

If you aren’t quite sure who the Ninja Turtles are, let me give you a quick lesson. The Ninja Turtles started out as an indie comic created by Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman. Nohi Organic Children’s Clothing Review & Giveaway #GiftGuide

Nohi Kids offers eco-friendly clothing for children. I was lucky enough to be able to review The Girls Peacock Dress-Pink, and the baby Romper-Pears.

 

About Nohi Kids:

In the Maori language, nohi nohi means, “to be small”. In Japan, Kodomo Nohi, one of the most popular national holidays, is a day to celebrate children. And, in Hawaiian, Nohi means brightly colored and vivid. So, I suppose a Nohi Kid is a bright, vivacious little thing just oozing with personality!

The Clothing is all made from certified organic cotton, bamboo fiber, and a touch of spandex, so that
it will wash well and that it will last forever.

They also use water-based ink for printing, making sure that all products are lead free and safe.
