As a frequent traveler (and person who often has difficulty sleeping) I am always interested in finding better ways to get a good night’s sleep. Sleep often eludes me, and oddly, I tend to sleep better when I am NOT at home. Maybe that’s not so odd- my husband is the world’s loudest snore-er. It’s horrible. When he travels with my son and I, we have more then once had people pounding on doors to yell at us, he was so loud. My son and I have moved to separate rooms, he has a sleep machine that just seems to add to the noise…it’s like sleeping with a den of bears, LOL. When I sleep in a hotel, it’s really, really quiet.
However, have you ever noticed that when staying in a hotel, symptoms like congestion and dry/itchy eyes can materialize in your sleep? Plush bedding is a haven for dust mites, which can trigger allergy symptoms and dust reactions. Protective bedding creates a barrier to prevent this. It’s a great, natural way to combat allergy symptoms that can arise on the road (as well as at home). You might not be able to bring a mattress protector but sneak a pillow protector in your travel bag and you’re all set.
