5 places to see which won’t bore your children (too much)

Let’s face it, announcing a family trip to New York will not be met with the same enthusiasm as a trip to Disney World would. New York isn’t the land of dreams like Kissimmee Florida’s main attraction is. Manhattan, however, does have many attractions and sites that are kid-friendly and might teach the little tykes something at the same time.

Of course, there are certain parts of Manhattan that don’t cater to children and could lead to interesting but awkward conversations between parents and children. Times Square, for example, is an incredible place to watch people. What you see and what your child sees might not be the same, however. Especially after dark.

Keeping it kid-friendly

If your children are too young, sticking to more pedestrian sites could be a promising idea. For your first visit to Manhattan with kids, you might want to stick to the following list of sites:

  • Statue of Liberty. WHAT: The Muddy Puddles Project 5th Annual Mess Fest! Hosted by the Muddy Puddles Project for childhood cancer research, the can’t-miss event honors Ty Louis Campbell, who lost his battle with brain cancer at the age of 5. Ty loved kids’ TV character Peppa Pig and dreamed of jumping in muddy puddles, just like Peppa, when his cancer was cured, but he never got the chance. Twitter Party Prize Giveaway begins July 20th, 2017 at 9:00 pm ET and ends no later than July 20th, 2017 at 10:30pm ET (the “Twitter Chat Entry Period”). Entrants enter via following @Beat_Bugs, @HeLoEnterprises & @BlogginMamas, and posting a tweet with the #BeatBugs hashtag during the Twitter Chat Entry Period. Five (5) Winners will be drawn randomly by random.org at approximately 12 minute intervals during the Twitter Party Entry Period. One (1) Winner will be drawn randomly via random.org from the event RSVP’s on the Mr. Linky widget.

Each winner receives one (1) prize pack. Entrants who fail to complete said actions will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected from all entrants who entered during the Twitter Party Entry Period.
