I absolutely love to be outside and on the move. Each day my children spend a great deal of time playing outdoors, as well as running around with me. I have always been on the lookout for the ideal stroller, and was absolutely amazed at all the wonderful features that I found with the BOB Revolution Pro Duallie Stroller.

About BOB:

In 1994, Roger Malinowski, a bicycle industry maven, met Phillip Novotny, an airline mechanic, in the California town of San Luis Obispo. Phillip had turned a decrepit beach cruiser bike into a versatile, lightweight, single track bike trailer. He called it the YAK and was rolling them out of a machine shop on a small scale. Roger knew a great idea when he saw one and together, they took Phillip’s invention and built a booming business.

BOB was originally named Beast of Burden, but was eventually shortened to BOB.

BOB was first a great bike trailer that was completely amazing. However, Roger and Phillip soon began to start families of their own. They were inspired to design and build a superior jogging stroller that would be held to the same high standards as their trailers. The initial result was the BOB Sport Utility Stroller, complete with aptented suspension system, tough polymer wheels, easy-fold frame, a reclining, padded seat and several other features no one had ever put on a stroller before. They truly “wanted the best of a bunch of worlds”, said Roger. “A lightweight, high-quality stroller that you could still take running, hiking, or off-road and also fold up easily and compactly. The fact we could put all of these elements in one stroller is what really attracted people to it.”

Shortly after this stroller hit the market people started asking about a two-seat stroller, which led to the introduction of the Duallie in 2001.

Many changes have happened over the years which has left BOB one of the top strollers on the market in our country today.

Having small children I truly feel like it is my responsibility to make sure that I am putting good, safe products on them. I must tell you that with the Bath Products from Aden + Anais you will not be disappointed in the least.

About Aden + Anais:

Aden + Anais believes in muslin, simplifying the lives of parents and caregivers, safety, and in expression through style.

Parenthood is a blessing but can also be very overwhelming. This is why they create products that are as versatile and useful as they are beautiful. Their swaddles work as stroller covers, tummy time blankets, nursing covers, burp cloths and more. Their bibs double as burp cloths. Our serenity star is a five-function-in-one multi-tasking nursery must. Anything they can do to make a baby safe and comfortable, and a parent’s life easier, equals a job well done for them.

Safety is kept top of mind when developing their product range. Each and every product goes through a rigorous course of testing before hitting the market – including tests by Raegan on her four girls. Whether it’s through eliminating loose blankets in the crib with sleeping bags, knowing the correct way to swaddle or removing all harsh ingredients from our skin care and laundry care lines, we strive to make sure our brand influences families to build the safest environments for their baby.

My girls love to work together and do different projects with my husband and I. We always have something going on around the house, but sometimes are at a loss at coming up with something specifically special just for them. With Crafters Crate, my girls had a variety of projects that they could do either on their own or with a little bit of help.

About Crafters Crate:

When you sign up for CraftersCrate, each month you will receive a box full of craft kits curated for your girl. Each crate includes 4-5 crafts and activities as well as all the materials you need to complete them.

CraftersCrate is suggested for girls ages 5 to 10, but they have members that are even as young as 3 and as old as 12. It truly depends on the child and how much time you want to spend helping them with the craft time.

CraftersCrate Story:

Rachael, CraftersCrate Founder, was not your typical “crafty mom” and so she definitely didn’t have a room full of craft supplies ready to go right away. After she had her daughter, she began to realize its hard to find good craft and activities. She did find many projects on Pinterest, but in order to get everything together to complete one kids craft was a job in itself.

Bandelettes keep thighs from chafing

Disclosure- I received the below  in order to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own and honest. Please see “Disclose” tab for more info.

Cruise and products 091

I love to wear dresses and skirts.  The only problem for me is that my legs chafe- and that’s not fun for anyone.  I use plenty of shorts and stockings, but shorts can “cut you” in strange places and can leave not-so-pretty bulges, and it’s not always the right weather for stockings.  I recently was able to try new Bandelettes, which look a bit like the garter you wore under your wedding dress.

“Bandelettes (www.Bandelettes.com) — the solution to keeping thighs from chafing; the lace Bandelettes fit all size thighs and stay in place…and can match nicely to your under garments.”

The way they work is like this- they have a no slide, plastic-y coating on the back so that you can get them to hold their place on your thigh where you put them.  They stay in place (even when it’s hot) and keep your legs from uncomfortably rubbing together.  You can get them in several colors and sizes to match every outfit and fit every size.  One odd thing- you need to measure your thighs to get your correct size, which is both a bit pesty and also not exactly pleasant-  No one likes to know EXACTLY how big their thighs are, LOL. I hope they find another way of figuring that out!

Cruising with MSC Divina – MSC Cruises‎

Disclosure- We received the below trip in order to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own and honest. Please see “Disclose” tab for more info.

My son, husband, and I recently took a cruise on the beautiful MSC Divina.  Out of Miami, Florida, we spent 3 days docked at various islands, and 4 more at sea, for a total of 7 days including the one we boarded.  The time we spent on board was fun, and there was a lot to do on the ship.

Every day, they passed out a daily newsletter that gave you list of the day’s activities and events, as well as where and when they were. We took advantage of as many of these as we could, both because we wanted to fully experience the cruise and because one never knows when they will get the chance to do some of the activities again.

We took Italian lessons, which my son and I enjoyed- but my husband didn’t.  Luckily, they had a bar very nearby, where he went and spent the remainder of the lesson.  The lesson was offered in 3 parts, but we only did two of them.  Daddy was a good sport about it.

Re Up Yellow Phone 235

We loved the dance lessons that were offered on the ship- almost every day, they had multiple options and times for a new dance to learn.  We tried out three of them- the Meringue, the Tarantella (a traditional Itlaian dance), and “Thriller” (the epic Michael Jackson song and dance!)  My son decided to do kids club for “Thriller” instead of dancing, but that’s fine- the husband and I had a great time.  I think “Thriller” was both of our favorites.  Neither of us are dancers, and my husband normally HATES to dance- the fact that he not only participated but also enjoyed himself is crazy to me. I was thrilled with it!

Home Made Moon Sand- Great Kids Activity

20140531_112702
My girls absolutely love to play outside. I always love to try new things to change up our normal activities. Moon Sand was definitely a great fit for us. I have been wanting to try it out for awhile, but never really had a big enough container to put it in.

I went on a mission to buy everything that I needed for my girls to be able to play with the Moon Sand.

How To:

20140603_141637

  • 1 5lb Bag of Flour
  • 2 Cups of Baby Oil

Pour the Bag of flour and the cups of Baby Oil into a big container. You then just have to mix with your hands until it is a nice smooth, powdery mixture.

I chose to make a double of this batch so that we had a good decent amount to out in our big container. I then gave my girls some measuring cups and spoons, as well as some plastic cups to play with.

My son doesn’t always love bedtime.  If your kids are anything like that (gasp! Kids that resist sleep? I know, that’s incredibly rare) then you know that anything that helps get them to bed is a good thing.  We have a routine here, and always have.  I always recommend that parents develop and stick with one, so kids know what is coming and are less likely to resist.  Ours includes bath time, lavender lotion, bedtime stories, his favorite song, and bedtime prayers. As a kid who loves his stuffed animals, this adorable Prayer Bear is a welcome addition to his bed.  Not only is is cute and soft, but it also says a bedtime prayer when you press it’s stomach.
