Squishy Baff Review

Alright, who thinks baths are too…. I don’t know… clean? Where’s the slime? LOL I spend all day in school drawing in the lines being nice to teacher, why can’t I play in some slime, says the Little Man. This is indeed a good argument to have- a valid one indeed. The execution of playing in slime is difficult at best. Why not surprise your little hard worker with a nice Baff. A Baff changes with but one packet of mix, not two but one.

Please use packets one at a time. IE once per baff. Dad got antsy and dumped in both packets. It was neat, but way too solid. Either way, as you can see, Little Man had a great time playing in the goop. He likes to smack it because it jiggled. He also [Read more…]

Losing Weight with #NSNation @Nutrisystem

Why is it so much easier to put weight ON then take it off? BLAH. This week was my son’s birthday- and the devil I am, I ate ice cream cake. LOL. Cest la vie, it was worth it. Maybe not. But SHHHH, I ate it anyway 😛 It’s been a wild week, and I have not been to the gym as often as I usually go. Between that and the cake? I will count my .5 weight loss as a score, and next week will be better.

I am not going to drive myself nuts about it- stuff happens, and last week was a good week. What can one do. I didn’t get this way because I don’t like to eat, right? It’s a battle, and sometimes I lose. Whatevs, as long as [Read more…]

More Fun at Oasis Day Camps

If you are looking for the best summer camps, I think you should look into Oasis. My son is having a great time, and he is several weeks in. They have had some fun events, like Pajama Jamma day, and even field trips to the zoo and a children’s museum. Pajama Jamma day was so much fun for him and he really enjoyed himself. The kids all looked so cute in their PJ’s!

Little Man is learning to swim- he is a little bit afraid of pools and large bodies water, but his counselors are very patient with him, and little by little he is getting more comfortable with the water. The kids are all at different skill levels- and some of the kids, like Little, are weary of water, while some are little water babies! The [Read more…]

Mentoring Minds

Bullying is no laughing matter. This is especially true of parents to sensitive children. Yes, maybe some kids could toughen up and such, but is getting made fun of and beat up the way to toughen up? I don’t think so. I feel kids should grow into their own self worth by feeling confident in themselves, never hurt and alone. There are lots of different techniques and ideas about this, each parent is different- as is each child. However, they all share a common thread, the desire to get active and be aware of your kids surroundings. This is easy to say at home, where we can keep an eye on our kids, most times. But what happens at school where parents are not there to protect their children, and the teachers are the responsible adults? How can a teacher hope to contain a group of 30 kids and get them to learn and get them to get along?
How about a little help from the inter-webs. Take a look at, Mentoring Minds and their bullying prevention program and classroom management solutions. Not only are there guides [Read more…]
