Glow Pets are adorable, they are furry and fun companions in the daytime and they make night time activities extra special. Camping, watching movies, going to sleepovers, and even bedtime is enhanced with the soft glow that is emitted when the button on a glow pet is pushed. Children will enjoy soft glowing light while parents enjoy the 20 minute auto shut off feature. I thought that was the perfect amount of time for comfort and battery preservation.

Febreeze Holiday Scents
Disclosure- This is a sponsored post for SheSpeaks and Febreze. All opinions are my own and honest.
Our senses are one of the most base ways we interact with out environment. And as such, our senses are often bring up happy memories. Baking pie brings up memories of a Great-Grandparents from years long past or fresh cut pine reminds us of Christmas.
Febreeze is here with their holiday scents to help bring about those joyful holiday memories and create new ones for your little ones. Some of their seasonal scents are Cranberry Spice and Winter Frost. Both of these are available in alternating scent dual NOTICEables which can last up more then 30 days. These dual packs work on the simple idea that a person can get used to one smell relatively easily, but when a smell changes to another it takes longer, so a nice smell alternating with another makes for a longer lasting nice scent to the air. During the holiday season it is all about giving the senses some extra cheer. Be it colorful lights, the familiar sounds of relatives cooking in the kitchen (and fighting in the living room), or the smell of spiced cranberries, the senses are brought to life during the holiday season and Febreeze NOITCEables is here to help.

Can We Build It?
Disclosure- I received the below in order to review. All opinions are my own and honest. See “I disclose” for more info.
LittleBits
Littlebits are an interesting take on the build it concept. Instead of blocks or pieces, these are parts of something bigger. The set includes LED lights, Servos, battery or power blocks and sensors of various types. These pieces are broken down into 4 categories- input, sound sensors, buttons, etc; output, LED lights, Servos; power and connectors, wires to transmit a signal long or short range, or to break up a signal by fixed intervals. When first looking at the box, it almost looks like someone took apart a complex electronic device, and it’s your job to put it together. However, this set is much more than that. When stringing the pieces together, the user can make simple or complex circuits that can do everything from massage your back, to working a backhoe, or if the creativity is really flowing bring a drawing to life. The instruction book is a great tool in learning how each piece works but the best way to really learn is hands on and with this set
hands on is easy to work with. There is no danger of electrocution when connecting or disconnecting pieces. They are held together with strong magnets and can only fit together in such a way that short circuiting the boards is difficult. When playing with LittleBits it was great fun watching Little Man make connections in his head, from what he wants to happen to how he can make it happen using the pieces at his disposal.
Air Stream Machines
Air Stream machines is an educational set which teaches kids about air pressure and air driven mechanics. The book included is part instruction book, part educational tool. Each project is broken down into simple steps while showing real world examples of air pressure, air flow and electrical to mechanical energy. The star of the set is the hover craft. This project is simple to build and rewarding as well. With an adult helper, the pieces fit together perfectly and work just as the instructions say. The hover craft can float over land or water on a pillow of air. Little Man’s eyes lit up like Christmas trees when the hovercraft’s air pillow inflated then started moving. This set is perfect for anyone young or old who is fascinated with vehicles and science in general.

You can now send the turtles flying to knock off Shredder’s Foot Clan as they climb the big, teetering tower, or play as Shredder racing to get your ninjas to the top win! This game is available at Amazon for only $19.99.
Jake and the Never Land Pirates Shipwreck Beach Treasure Hunt Game:
This is a great game for active indoor fun for preschool pirates. Captain Hook has buried pirate booty all over Shipwreck Beach. You have to flip over the gold doubloons and use Jake’s spyglass to decode the secret clues. When you finally get a match, you can get up and go. If you get the right treasure with the foam sword and hurry back to score. This is a great game for your child to play throughout the winter months. This game is available at Wal-Mart for only $24.99.
Travel In Style- Pack Light With Kohl’s
As most of you know, I travel often. As airlines have gotten stingier and more impossible with baggage (they are now even making it next to impossible to take both “allowable” pieces with you as carry on), you want to make what you take with you count. That’s why I love garments that transition easily, wash well, and don’t wrinkle. Yes, that’s a lot to ask of an article of clothing, but not really. I expect the same from my 6 year old 🙂
You don’t need to shop at a fancy store or buy expensive travel gear to get clothes that wear well when you travel (or when you are home, for that matter). Just head to your local Kohl’s.
You can find great deals for the whole family in one place, not to mention you can coordinate a whole outfit that travels well for less then the cost of one dress from other retailers. For example, this entire outfit, shoes, bracelet, and dress, cost less then $100. Yes, totally read that right. By the way- please forgive the photos- they were taken by my 6 year old, who did his very best. We were traveling alone, so there was no one else to take them, LOL. I also included some photos of the items that the store provided, so you can see them in another light as well 🙂

Lego Ninja Turtles and Spongebob by Imaginext

When are sea creatures more then sea creatures? Why when they are Sponge bob and Fish face from Ninja Turtles of course. Today we are taking a look at some aquatic creature toys that aren’t so aquatic and much more fun then their real life inspiration.
First the new LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Stealth Shell in Pursuit. This nifty play-set includes 3 mini-figs and two vehicle. Well the pieces to make at least those 5 toys, but your imagination can make countless more. The mini-figs included are quite unique for the most part. First we have Raphael, who is not merely a painted mini-fig to look like a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle but also has the shell, and the head of a Ninja Turtle. With details right down to the red face mask. Next up is a foot clan soldier, he is a regular mini-fig design who is functional as the filler when Raphael has to mop up the foot clan while chasing after our final mini-fig, Fish face.
Fish face is less a mini-fig and more a sculpture. He is LEGO sized and has LEGO hands and size but his body is that of a fish, and his legs are robotic, making him just about the most unique mini-fig we own. Little Man is usually pro hero/anti-villain but Fish face is his current favorite mini-fig. The vehicle which you can make are a sewer skimmer and a stealth shell. One a motor cycle and one a boat/jet-ski. Both fit one figure each and bring the set together nicely. This set is quite fun for LEGO enthusiasts or Ninja Turtle fans as well, both will get a bit kick out of Raphael and Fish-face.

Peppa Pig – Fun New Toys
Disclosure: The below was provided to me to help facilitate my review. All opinions are my own and honest. I am disclosing this in accordance to FTC Guidelines. Please see “Disclose” tab for more information.
My son loves Peppa Pig. The TV show is one of his favorites, and he can tune in on Nick Jr. daily. When the first Peppa Pig toys came out, he was psyched. Nothing is better then playing with your favorite characters and acting out the mischief they get into (and making up some of your own). Truth be told, as much as he likes Peppa, he likes Daddy Pig more- he snorts WAY louder. He also likes her baby brother George, because he throws toys, spaghetti, and hides from Peppa (which really peeves her). So, the boys have it, according to my son.
Peppa is snarky, which amuses me. She has quite an attitude for a little piglet, which I guess is fitting. The toys looks just like the characters on the show, and many of them have moving parts or talk as well. This new line of toys revolve around bedtime and bathtime, two of my son’s least favorite times of the day. However, the former being my very most favorite 🙂
