Raiding Your Closet: Old Fashion Trends Coming Back in Style

It seems like the 80’s are knocking on the door again, and if you are someone who is invested in looking sharp, you need to keep an eye on the styles that are coming back. What looks should you go looking for in the old storage unit, and which ones are going to suit you best?

Leggings

Leggings are back in a big way, and in many ways, they are exactly the same as they were in the eighties. Black leggings make your legs look very long and slim, and they go with just about everything, but they are far from your only choice. Look for leggings with geometric prints as well as more precise designs. Leggings with maps and animal sketches on them are making a big fuss in the trendier stores.

Glitter

Glitter was big in the eighties, and now it has taken a step forward again. If you want to avoid looking like a very young child, keep the glitter on a low level. Shopping season is in full swing. When shopping for others, you need to focus on what they like. When you know your husband is going to try to buy you a toaster or something really, really lame (lol) it is also important to drop those all important hints as to what you yourself like. Rookie USA Kids SportsWear Store Moves into Manhattan #RookieUSA #CBias

I recently went to the newly opened Rookie USA store, located at 808 Columbus on the Upper West Side. Rookie USA was in a super convenient location, with lots of other stores and shopping nearby, on street parking and parking garages available. It was a beautiful day, on a beautiful street- AND I even found a parking space, and successfully parallel parked 🙂 Hey- sometimes it’s the little things!

I know- But I was so proud of myself- I am the worst parallel parker!

Rookie USA is beautifully set up, with wide open spaces (easy for pushing strollers in) and racks that are not overcrowded with clothes. The employees were friendly, and the store itself was clean and had a nice atmosphere- no loud music or flashing lights that make me want to run out as fast as I can, LOL.

The store sells clothing and accessories such as backpacks and baseball hats for infants through teenagers. They carry brands like Nike, Levi’s, Converse and Air Jordan, and even have very small jerseys. There is an entire wall of sneakers as well.

It is that time of year again- Fashion Week! It is so much fun seeing all the new styles and watching what the designers will come up with next. I had the pleasure of attending the SearsStyle Blogger Brunch, and got up close and personal with the latest styles from Sears.

Some people don’t think about Sears when it comes to shopping for clothes, but they are missing out. You can find tons of great brands and sizes, from infant, to kids, Jr.s, Womens, Mens, and Plus Size all in one place. Easy peasy one stop shopping. Then you can head on over to the other departments, and get what you need for your home. Love the convenience factor.

My Little Man and I hopped on over to the brunch just after his Kindergarten orientation. He was one of 3 dudes in the room, LOL.
