The spa area is absolutely enormous, at more than 29,000 square feet. You will find a hydrotherapy area, hot and cold plunge pools, tons of lounge chairs, a sauna, herbal steam room, an ice room (with little individual palettes of chilled aloe lotions in ice baths you can massage all over yourself for further cooling), a relaxation lounge, and 25 treatment rooms to indulge in any spa treatment your heart desires, including some really lovely couples options.

The relaxation areas have some fun and unique lounge options, with teardrop hammock swings big enough for two, various bed-like chaises, cold tiled seats shaped to your body which are great for the temperature rooms and add to the experience, and so many more options. After you are done being pampered, head back to your room and perhaps order in. Your room comes with full butler service, and it’s amazing to have someone there to assist you when you require it. At one point, I had wanted to put some bath salts into my (amazing) tub, but was out. I called to request some, and the wonderful and thoughtful butler brought about four different scents and options to choose from, as well as extra towels and conditioner ( I have very long hair and he thought I might run out). What a guy!

If you want a day out to experience a bit of Mexico, see your butler or guest services, as there are numerous excursions available. Of the options available, we spent the day in Todos Santos- the “magic town”, where we visited the iconic “Hotel California” (yes, THAT one), toured local restaurants and shops along streets with amazing and beautiful historic architecture, and had the good luck to wander upon a festival happening. We also went whale and dolphin watching with Cabo Dolphin, where we were able to see quite a few species of ocean life. This we highly recommend, the views as we sailed were amazing- bring a waterproof camera.

How to Use a Metal Wine Chiller

There are two types of wine chillers; the wine cooler which houses your entire collection of wine and the metal wine chiller which keeps your bottle cool by your side while you enjoy the fruity flavors.

To enjoy the perfect glass of white you need both of these chilling items. You may even need to use a wine chiller for your red of your house is over 70° Fahrenheit. White wine should be served at a temperature of between 49° and 55° while red should be at 62-68°.

Steps To Use Metal Wine Chiller

Storing your wines at a cool temperature helps to preserve them and the flavor of the wine. Once you’ve opened them it’s the white you want to keep cool:

- Your Bottle – This needs to be placed in your metal wine cooler. In general you’ll find it better to open it before you serve than when you’re preparing it.

Ice It – You now need to add some ice to your wine chiller. It is best to use medium sized chunks so that they don’t melt too quickly. The ice should surround the lower half of the bottle.

Slide the sleeve over your wine and give it 5 minutes; the wine will be cool enough to drink. Even better it will stay that way for approximately 4 hours.

Don’t forget that if you use a wine cooler you will get condensation running down the outside of the bottle. It is best to have a towel under the wine chiller to prevent water marks appearing on your furniture.

No Ice Metal Wine Chiller

It is also possible to get a stainless steel wine chiller which doesn’t require ice to cool your bottle. Instead of ice there are 3 or 4 freezer packs which slide into pockets on the wine cooler. These can be removed and placed in the freezer; in fact it’s a good idea to keep them in the freezer.

Then simply slide them into your wine chiller and give them 5 minutes to cool the inside space. Add your bottle and enjoy chilled wine for up to 3 hours.

Clogged Drain? Try Roto Rooter

What do you do when you have a clogged sink or bathtub? It’s super annoying, and it causes serious issues in the house. How are you supposed to do anything when your sink isn’t working right? And it always happens when you are having company, am I right?

We recently tried Roto-Rooter on one of our clogs, and I can tell you that this is not a staged photo. For real.

Our sink has been super annoying, clogging up on the regular. Not much has helped it, and we’ve tried pretty much everything. Sometimes, you just need something to get it moving in a pinch.

We followed the directions on the Roto-Rooter bottle, and pured half the bottle down the drain. After it cleared, we poured hot water down the drain as the directions stated. It did indeed keep it clog free for quite some time.
