I received a beautiful pre-made IRIS bracelet in blues and silver, but when you order online, you can actually customize your bracelet. First you select a starter band which comes in sterling silver and leather. Next, you select from over 40 colorful Murano inspired glass beads in beautiful blues, reds, greens and mixed colors. Then, you can add to and separate the glass beads with a huge variety of silver and rhodium charms.

If you don’t design your own or want to send a complete package as a gift, you can also order a complete Iris bracelets like the one I received. I was perfectly happy with the colors selected for me and I liked the surprise aspect about the end product.

Sandgrens Philly Clogs

With this time of year around, I am definitely a big fan of boots. I love wearing boots to work, church, and even when I am out and about running errands. With these adorable clogs from Sandgrens, I could not be any happier.

Free Country Winter Coat

There is a chill to the air, frost on the ground and I know that one day soon I will be greeted by a swirl of snowflakes dancing through the air. With the approach of winter it is time to start considering a winter coat that will keep you warm and looking great. Free Country has an impressive selection of coats for the entire family at great prices that will keep Old Man Winter from chilling you to the bone.

This coat is machine washable, water and wind resistant, and features a hand gaiter to keep your digits warm and your hands free. Holiday Outfits Made Easy with Kohl’s

I have very little in the way of fashion sense. For this reason, I try to keep it simple, all the time. This time of year, I take more photos then usual, which is quite a lot. I like to do our holiday cards with less posed, cornball “look what a perfect and happy family we are” photos and more real ones (because we are far from perfect- and I readily admit to that!) I also like to take one nice family photo every year, where we are all looking at the camera at the same time, hopefully with our eyes open. For this photo, I like us to look decent- and we loved our new shirts ordered just for the occasion from Kohl’s Holiday Collection.

This year, it was easy to look decent in our photos. I shopped at Kohl’s, where the prices are affordable and the clothing will last as well- even on my husband. My son wanted us all to wear blue for the photo (which worked out- I loved this Apt 9 crepe shirt), and he wanted us to all sit with Santa. Why not, right? We dressed in our new holiday clothes and headed over to Macy’s on Herald Square to check out the holiday window displays and visit Santa Claus.

Turns out, it would be a little harder then you would think to take photos with Santa. He took the day off, which was sort of uncool since the employee we spoke to gave us his hours for the day, LOL. But, we had a great time looking at the windows, visiting Santaland, and then took a walk over to FAO Schwarz as well. Why not? It’s Christmas time in the city, after all 🙂

Shabby Apple Dress Review

I don’t get dressed up as often as I used to, considering I work from home, and grad school is not a dress up occasion. As a teacher, I used to dress nicely every day for work. Now I wear a whole lot of track pants and tee shirts. I do still like to dress up now and again, on the occasions where we get to go out for a fun night or when we travel. I love vintage clothing -the fun fits, classic lines, and longer lengths just speak to me. I just feel pretty when I wear something classic. Shabby Apple is a clothing company that specializes in vintage style, modern woman’s clothing. I recently received the Truman dress, which is a fun take on the “little black dress” every woman needs to own.
