Lazy Lizards Yoga Products For Kids

As many of you know, I am a yoga fan.  I practice regularly, and have had my son and even my grandmother do yoga (at their level) with me.  My son is, like many kids, wiggly and impatient, and yoga is great for redirecting that energy.

pic1

Lazy Lizards created a kid sized yoga mat with 12 poses printed on the mat along with a DVD to go along.  Kids can easily follow along with the DVD or just use their mat.  Their is also a space where kids can personalize their mat to make it their own- my son was completely horrified by the thought of drawing on his mat, but I think some kids would like to.  My boy can be a little finicky, like his mother.

They have 4 colors of  eco friendly, kid sized yoga mats, with poses printed directly on the mat, as well as the Lazy Lizards Yoga DVD.  Introducing yoga at a young age can encourage a healthy lifestyle early. Kids love doing yoga, and it is great for them. Yoga comes naturally to children, they love to use their imaginations to move their bodies in creative ways. Have your child try yoga, and watch him or her grow from the inside, out.  It is great for you to do together as well- something you both can do.  It’s nice to have healthy activities you both can enjoy.

Adventure To Santa at the Cherry Hill Mall

“Tis the season for all things Holly and Jolly, and that usually includes a visit to see Santa. This year, if you are in the area, why not shake things up and visit Santa AND Shrek at the same time?

20141129_135551Best part?  You get a whole experiance, not just a quickie Santa’s lap visit and photo.   Wait, no, the best part is that you don’t’ have to wait on a zillion hour line.  You RSVP online for a time slot, show up, and go right in.  We got there just on time, checked in, and waited maybe 5-10 minutes to get inside.  Maybe the best part is that the kids were REALLY excited about all the stuff they got to do while on the tour.  Or that the price for the tour and photos are not any higher then they were for a typical Santa photo (The cost for a single photo with Santa at Radio City Music Hall is $25.  At our local mall, it’s $20.  Here, you get a 3 photos of your choice, in a variety of sizes, for $30.)  There are a lot of “Best Parts”….It’s hard to choose the best-best part.

Chomp and Stomp Grimlock

Disclosure- We have received the below in order to facilitate this review. All opinions are our own and honest. For more info, see “I Disclose”.
gift guide

Transformers have been around for a while, actually they celebrated their 30th birthday in 2014. Originally, they were  released in 1984 as a toy line. In this time period, the “robots in disguise” have changed quite a bit.   Starting out as vehicles, mostly cars, then expanding into dinosaurs and animals that transform. The newest generation includes a simple transforming set of figures which go from robot to dinosaur/vehicle in one step. The biggest, literately, of these is Transformers: Age of Extinction Chomp and Stomp Grimlock who with a simple push or pull is able to swap forms. Grimlock also sports lights, sounds, and weapons that pop out. Grimlock is actually big enough where a Power Battler figure can ride on Grimlock and unlock a different set of lights and sounds, depending on weather the figure is one of the evil Decepticons or an Autobot. Included with Grimlock is an Optimus Prime figure- although he doesn’t transform, he is still fun to ride around on Grimlock with.

Hanging out at KidzVuz

Recently we went to the KidzVuz Holiday House Party. My son came with me to check out all the fun that was in store, and he had a lot of fun checking out some of the new products.

He really enjoyed playing with the with the Rabbids  awesome new game. He loves Rabbids, and though the show is far from my favorite, he is allowed to play the game (with headphones on- those noises drive me insane, LOL).  It’s a silly game and it makes him laugh.

Disney On Ice presents Frozen

We recently saw the new Disney On Ice show, Frozen.  My son loved it, but the little miss loved it even more.  Mickey, Minnie, and friends were the first to hit the ice, which brought shouts of joy from the audience. The kids were all excited (and lets face it, everyone loves Mickey and Minnie).  But when Elsa and Anna hit the stage, the screaming and screeching from all the little girls (and plenty of their parents) was deafening.

frozen on iceAll the little Elsa’s and Anna’s in their dress up clothes, with wands and tiaras being shaken around in the air excitedly, could hardly contain themselves as the show began.

frozen liveThe songs were “sung” (or played on the speakers and lip synched) not only by the skating cast, but full volume by every little girl (and some boys) in the audience.  OK, and again- plenty of parents. You know who you are. When “Let It Go” came on, I thought the walls were going to come down, LOL.

frozen live showThe kids had a great time, and you will too.  Check out when the show is coming to your town!  Visit the Disney On Ice website (http://www.disneyonice.com) for a full listing.
